winter depression sets in again...

I'm starting to feel like everything's going wrong in my life, I can never do anything right and everything ends up badly for me. These days I have the feeling that everyone hates me 24/7 and I feel like an ugly unlikeable person. My boss cut my hours at work because we were "losing business" but I didn't see anybody else get their hours cut. Now I have no money to actually get to work.
Then my family treats me like I don't belong. my brother has always been the better-treated one. My family takes turns telling me that I'm a screw-up and a failure and my dad has made it clear that he wished he had a different son. I'm not really the child my parents wanted me to be, so I'm not exactly well-treated.
I feel like I don't deserve happiness...

Well, as I hope you already know Drake I'm always here for you.

Everyone deserves happiness and your just going through difficult times. I know how you feel, I felt the same way when I was living with my grandma almost a year ago.

The best thing to do is to stay positive, do the best you can, and don't have any expectations.
Once you have a certain expectaction about how something will occur you set yourself for disappointment. The best things come unexpected.

One thing is try to approach your problems in a differnet way. Do you study? If not, study for at least 2 hours a day.
2 hours out of a 24 hour day isn't alot of time taken away.
Heck, study in a room where your parents are and even ask for help if you don't understand something. Whether or not they know the answer or how to help you with the problem, that can literally prove that your trying to improve your grades.

As for your job, I would reccommend applying for other jobs as back up.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Drake.

I stick to my motto "Things will get better" no matter how many times I've felt like shit, even to the brink of You-know-what, I just tell myself that things will look up and as far as I can tell, it's worked for me. Anytime depression sets in I just remind myself that things will get better, because they will.
Life always has its ups and downs, and as long as you remain optimistic, those up parts will come right back again.

During the low points I like to take some time to myself, do something that I really enjoy, like listening to music with the lights out or taking a long bath early in the morning before school.
The little things help immensely, in my experience.

If you feel like your brother is being treated better, you should talk to your parents about it, if they're reasonable adults then they'll try to do something about it.
