I think I may have always been a Furry, but never knew there was a name or a fandom for it. If I would have known about this a few years ago my life would be soo different.
I think my first Furry Fantasy was when I randomly thought up a story of some furries and played around with that in my head for a year or so. My imagination was wild back then but it usually stemmed off from things I had seen or experienced. Like for instance, I watched dothack and a day later I had randomly thought up an idea for my own MMO that me and my friends would reenact during recess. I'm not sure what may have lead to my first imagination of Furries.
Later on in life, around freshman year I think, someone introduced me to Redwall. I hated reading until that book. Then I checked out Redwall series books as often as the library would allow. One of my favorite parts of the series was how well they described food!
Then a year later or more, I went to a friends house and they had Furry posters all over their room. That was the first time I had actually seen a picture of a Furry. I never once asked about them though because I sort of thought they were weird. Well, weird to see them hanging around all over the room.
Then, the moment of truth! Just this year my cousin had introduced me to some very interesting pictures of Furries. Some of a very artistic nature which I enjoyed. And some others of a less than good moralled nature, which I equally enjoyed.
Something just sort of popped once he showed me those drawings and told me the name Furries. I was instantly hooked. Then some time later I got tired of keeping my new found interest to myself. I end up introducing my best friend to furries. He thinks they are weird and has no interest in them.
So I then turned to the internet where not only is judgement something to not worry about, there is a whole world of people with whom to talk!
That's how I ended up here.
