Rant: manly men wearing fursuits
« on: August 21, 2013, 04:57:14 PM »
come on guys  T_T if you want to be a man and fight, don't do it dressed as a cuddly toy. I've heard too many reports of unsuspecting people having their fursuits wrecked in these brawls. If you go out dressed in a fursuit that does not give you the right to try to regain manliness by harming others. this is stupid.
I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with men wearing fursuits, I'm just saying that what you do in the fursuit is stupid and totally unneeded. I know now all males do this, but there ARE some that do. Please, if you have scores to settle, for god's sake don't do it at a furry meet!
If you are planning on getting drunk at furry meets, well, bring lots of cash because you should be prepared to pay the price for the damage you do.

Please, be a gentleman, not a rough-houser ...

I wouldn't call this men trying to be manly while wearing fursuits.

I'd call it people doing stupid things that people do, in fursuits.

If wearing a fursuit makes you any less of a man than what you are, than wrestlers wearing masks or any other sort of example would fall under the same thing :I

I think the title of this thread is very misleading.
You're talking about people being rough at conventions in fursuits, not particularly men. It's a little sexist.
And I'm not sure, what are the requirments for being a 'manly' man?
Last time I checked, brawling was not one of them.
