Drake kept his gun trained on the mysterious new arrival. "Get up, get the hell up!" Drake shouted, his voice shaking. He certainly was not ready for whatever this was, he never was ready for what the rift would bring, because those things could be both great and horrible.
The man (was it a man?) slowly got to his feet and put his arms up as a sign that he was not a threat. "What's your name??" Drake demanded angrily. The man was silent for a second, as if processing the question, and then said, "I have no name, but I belong to the Angorax Corporation, would you like to see my serial number?" Drake growled in frustration. "I ain't never seen a man with no name, so I ask again: who are you??"

 "
As I was walking just out of the group when it walked past me.  A demonic horse, not the anthro kind, joined with everybody else.  An honest-to-goodness being of down below.  And the psychic energies coming off it were enough to make me a little dizzy from the sensery overload.  Of corse my irrational side got the best of me and I couldn't help but blurt out.
"How dare you bring such infernal being into the mortal realm!  What business does the underworld have that this innocent town must suffer the trouble you will cause!"  >:( With that even the strongest of perseption filters couldn't hide me, but instead of looking sheepish because of my blantent error (which would'ave just made the situation worse anyway), I made things worse by holding my stance and facial expression.  Well, I thought to myself, there goes any chance at a first impression, unless timy-wimy is involed and these people have met me before.
Matthias raised an eyebrow beneath his mask. "I don't know what you're talking about... I'm just the cleanup guy." Following Drake, he stared at the being. "Hmm.... can't say I've seen one of those before..." Matthias stared back at Redtail, who just shook his head in confusion.
"And just what are cleaning up after?  I'm in my right mind to believe that someone in possesion of a creature from down below isn't in it for the well being of others." but who was I to the reaper's judge a book by its demonic cover.  I just hoped they could get by my mental barriers, not that they were capable (or at least I could shut then back out before the saw anything), but such things have happened in the past.
The figure glanced back again at the man quick. "Believe me... what I do is FOR the well-being of others. You have no reason to distrust me... but do something illegal..." For a brief moment, Matthias's left hand became sheathed in fire, but then went back to normal. "You don't want to do anything illegal, ok?" Turning back to the situation at hand, Matthias gently laid a hand on Drake's shoulder. "Sheriff... i know this seems weird, but perhaps maybe we could just try not pointing a weapon at it?"
Why the hell can't we point a weapon at it? Dragomir said. I mean, anything that ugly must be...
"SHUT UP!!" Matthias whispered harshly, slapping Dragomir's hilt and stepping forward, loosening the catches on his other weapons in case he was wrong...
"Yes, you may show us your number."

Though growling a little at Matthias, Ren did agree. "Hey newcomer, you're here to help, but you aren't the law here. But I do agree with you, knowing anything about this cyborg could be helpful." Ren approached the Sheriff and spoke a little quietly. "Alex, ease up on the poor creature and maybe we'll get answers. Trust me when I say I've met plenty of people who don't really have a name where I come from. Besides, it's in the sights of you and I, you know damn well it won't get away with it if it tries something." Not once did Ren relax his aim on the cyborg, knowing caution is never best thrown to the wind.

Jack sighed and moved back and sat down lazily. Watching the others without all that much interest as his mind wandered back to the bag in the cell back in the sheriff's office. Smirking at the thought of it's continents waking up and freaking out wondering if he would be able to hear it's screeching. "If there's no danger here i'll head back. Wouldn't want my guest to be alone when he wakes up."
“I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”
"If ever you should need my life, come and take it. If I die, I forgive you, if I recover, we shall see."

Ah, great.  Another violence-obssessed weapon-nut, but the voice didn't come from any mouth I could see.  I telepathically responded in kind,  Well aren't you trigger happy.  Try calming down and thinking about this.
At that moment the rift spat out another entity.  And the Sherif was about to blow its head off!  "WHOA!  WHOA!" I stepped over to him and pushed his hand down, pointing the gun away from the cyborg that had just fallen from the rift.  "Well aren't you trigger happy.  Try calming down and thinking about this." though my tone of voice this time was one of concer rather than sternness.
