25% For my personal use and the remaining 25% is for my family to do what ever they want

I would invest it in a hectic electric guitar and a marshall stack,  a beyond hectic computer, set a percentage aside for my education, my parents well being and pay someone to invest the rest in property, stocks and shares

however much i need to pay for college, set that aside. lets just go with a nice round $100k for that
then, id get a modest little house, just for me. (And well, the dog that imma buy as well.) that would run around... eh... $250k to furnish and stuff. Small house, not even a guest room. Then a modest little car with good gas mileage. $40k. maybe a few thousand for high-tech, super awesome computer. Gotta pay the bills and stuff, so set aside $200k to pay for all of the bills for a while.
that leaves $400k...
well, owning a few pets isn't all THAT expensive, so i'll set a few thousand aside for them.
so, $100k for me to spend on whatever. art, games, movies, electronics and stuff.
Whatever is left is going into banks. Gotta keep money saved for gas, bad luck, and other things

I'd invest as much of it as I can. I'd take out whatever size portion I'd need to buy my own place to live and buy a few things for fun that I couldn't afford before. Like some extra computer monitors, a nice entertainment system, and a Cintiq drawing tablet.

Put that $1,000,000 in a bank with a high fixed interest rate.

An interest rate of 5% would mean I get $50,000 dollars a year, just from interest alone.

I'd probably use the remaining money to live my normal ordinary life-style, but with the exception of "hmm that TV looks really nice, lets buy it!"
also I'd completely pimp up my computer and get a fursuit

If I had tens of millions of dollars, I would get a party together.

I would spend alot for future studies, but most of it would be invested into a new pc rig
