One million dollars...Hmm. I would definitely pay college tuition for both my brother and I (we're both becoming doctors. That's a lot of money for my parents to help pay), and then I'd put the rest in the bank and live comfortably

Of course, I'd definitely amp up my computer a bit. Multiple screens? Absolutely!

I'd buy a house, a new car, and the rest into a bank, living on interest and an ordinary job, I think I'd be set with what I need, living far away from California and my mother

I would do 2 things with my million.

1. Get a fursuit (i really want one!)
2. Get a ultimate gaming setup.


And i would put the rest in the bank.

I'd be set for life with that kind of starting money. First I'd pay off my debts and buy a couple franchise restaurants (not super cheap fast food more like bar/grill type places) I've got a couple friends I've met working in kitchens over the years to run them.
Next is the recording studio. By then  I should have made a decent chunk of money back, and I could afford to run the place at rates lower than any recording studio out there (giving new musicians the opportunity to get their material known and hopefully diluting the amount of profit-first crap out there)
After that who knows. More businesses, more investments, and all the stuff I've really wanted (fursuit, 2 new Xboxs for me and the gf, a couple of HD TVs to go with them, get my bloody pc fixed, comissions from just about every writer and artist here, and a new car...probably a Volkswagen .) Oh and a nice large sum going to TFF
 
One day...

Put some away for a wacom cintiq (untill i get better at drawing).
Travel everywhere!
Move to an own apartment.
Get a driving license.
Get a car.Give 10% to my awsome mom!
Save 10% (If i have that much)

 
Sadly, 1m isnt enough for those dreams, i guess

I'd want to make my house completely energy self-sufficient. Solar panels, personal wind turbines, passive solar heating, all that jazz. I've always wanted to build a house like that, and then the state can pay ME for the excess power I generate!

Here's what I'd do...

5% - Charities and other random acts of kindness
15% - College Education, and other certification
20% - Give to my parents
20% - Rainy Day Fund
30% - Retirement

I would still go to work, because the more money the better (1m isn't that much in the scheme of things, seeing as how the cost of living is always going up... ), and I'd like to help people with what I do. But knowing that I had a lot of money to fall back on like that would be a dream come true, it would afford freedom that you otherwise wouldn't have.
