Alright... I can do this. Last time I did a art thread, I got one reply and only put up one piece of artwork, but I've been doing a lot of art recently... well drawing atleast. I wouldnt stretch things to call it art. Either way, I need a good reason to keep drawing so I'll use this.
First I'll put a couple of old ones while the new ones are being finalised
Firstly, My fursona:
And secondly, my character in the "End of Life" Rp... this is a REALLY early version, so it's quite different to what he is now... also this guy looks WAY too happy :P :
-
Interesting style.
-
Haha I like it, hopefully you'll be putting more artwork up?
Your old avi was pretty good, I liked its slight manga type characteristics, as well as the fact your own style shows through.
Your quirky, vivid style is interesting for your End of life character, and you can tell it has a lot of depth.
(I also like how you have drawn that because of my RP, but thats not the point! :D)
Keep drawing, I want to see mooore!!! :D
-
did you use inks or what on that second one? cos its plain awesome! love the style! ^_^ show us more!
((hmm, i think im gonna do my character in End of life too, should be fun :3 ))
-
Interesting style.
coming from you, that's.... interesting. :P
did you use inks or what on that second one? cos its plain awesome! love the style!
I used to use refular poster paints, but that one, and all the ones i do recently is all coloured in photoshop.
Keep drawing, I want to see mooore!!!
And so you shall have it!
My fursona with a little more exaggerated face, and a little experiment in colour.
-
I like how they look done on paper when they're digitally coloured. Good job and that fursona looks really cute :) xx
-
Thanks, I'm just cute generally :P
I got a new one!
This one shows how a crummy picture can become "okay" just through the application of colour.
-
That's true, it looks great! I always wanted to mess around in photoshop myself. Color makes almost everything look better!
-
Number 5!
-
Hhahaha that reminds me of squidward for some reason!
-
the expression of utter contempt :P

I am ILL, I am ill, no more drawings until I am not ill! :(
Post Merge: October 13, 2009, 09:42:43 PM
ooh no wait! i have drawings that dont suit colouring, I can post them, as is.
-
right, until my illness has cleared up, I'll be posting stuff I never intend to colour... most of these, are abstracts inspired by Yusuf Islam (aka. Cat Stevens)
-
Picha too
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/IdeasonImagination.jpg)
-
Probably the worst of the three. But probably the last before I start putting up proper stuff again :D
Here one called Perception
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/perceptionofmuslims.jpg)
-
Interesting abstract (I hope it is or that sounds insulting!!) :P
-
well it's a very literal abstract... but yeah it kinda is. It was just too forced so ended up so real.
But thanks.
I'll be posting new stuff soon, when I can wade through this work. It's 5:30 am... I was supposed to wake up in 4 hours.
-
Well I finished most of my work, but I ended up sleeping past the first of todays lectures... I'm an idiot :D
But here's a new picture! now in technicolour!
-
wow! thats really awesome-- well done ^^
-
*bows* I try my best :)
-
Haha, I like the pose / expression. xD
-
dwagone
purposefully childish
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/Dragonanimal.jpg)
-
*Steals Dragon and snuggles it*
Its so cute!
-
yes it is :D
but this isnt
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/Evilbunnyanimal.jpg)
-
Hahahah thats so smug, I love it!
-
I like how you colored that rabbit.
-
The colouring was the hardest bit, I really didnt know how to get him to look right. I'm generally quite happy with the result though
Hahahah thats so smug, I love it!
Actually, the original sketch looked practically demonic :P
-
That's impressive stuff. :O
-
Thanks, my stuff hasnt been called impressive since I was a little kid. Thanks for the ego boost :D
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/DullGirl.jpg)
-
The peak of my artistic talent is a stick man, so it's impressive to me. :P
-
I like anthro art on here a lot-- but its sure refreshing when I see other people drawings haha :3
Mean and moody!
-
Sadly, you wont see many of them. I normally just draw furries and robots. I love them! probably because they're not real, so can be more stylised and more suitable to their personality. I mean, I look nothing like my personality :P
Plus robots are awesome.
-
Right, after a little hiatus of work, going back home and girlfriend walkaround funtimes, I've got back to my main comp to do art... Well... I've done an experiment. This is what I get for listening to the Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack.
I mean, it's clearly unfinished, I just dont know what to do with it, and I dont care enough about that doggy to put too much effort into it.
-
I like the blue effect, curiously though is it coloring or is it a sort of reflective blue shading effect?
-
Honestly, I dont know. Originally it was supposed to be just his colouring; he used to be red instead of white, I was going for garish colours but that didnt work out, and instead I found the smudged blue to be quite arctic, so I turned him white. i might come back to him in the future, but right now he's just a half baked experiment in the possibilities of shade, colour and atmosphere.
And now that I look at it, the colouring was really really rough but the background came out surprisingly well. I thought it would be the other way round, cus I put NO effort into the background, and a semi effort into figuring this pup out.
-
The second human of the day! There will be like... one or two more humans later much later, but for now, you get shooty girl! The photoshop brush I used for the shading worked out surprisingly well. It felt like a real ink.
-
check out this bad boy
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/generibunny.jpg)
-
he's watching you...

-
he's watching you...
please dont stare at me like that
i like you mr. lizard, BUT NOT THAT WAY!
-
hehehe, he laaaaaves you
right then, this last one is basically the first thing I drew when I decided to seriously try drawing furries and animals. Before then, they would always look absolutely terrible, and I would instead opt for a toonish imitation.
-
Hehe, I like all the new ones! -I've decided not to post with overflowing praise at every picture-- I have to look cool you know! But impressive as usual! xxx
-
well thanks, though overflowing praise at every picture is sometimes the only praise I ever get. So if you wanna praise it, please do. Atleast then i know that people are actually looking at them.
-
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/2girlyfurry.jpg)
Nothing incredible, but I like it. It's one of my old drawings. I looked through my old drawings and saw that actually they weren't bad.
-

I like it asiabunny. Just one thing, Why is Are both of the (lions?) Feet So messy and blurry?
-
well to be honest, the orange dog(?)'s feet are like that because this is an old picture and still has a remnant of my old style which was messy but exciting. Frankly I find human feet awkward and paws much more manageable and they just look better, so I do paws all the time now.

my housemate doesnt like furries, but he loves cats. I would draw stuff and place them round the house, so he asked me to draw a cat and put it on his door. This is what I did:
And much later, after a string of bizarre conversation over a period of months, the idea of him being a twin-tailed fox came into being... So in the middle of last night, I drew this:
and stuck it outside his door.
And yes, my housemate has a ponytail and is a chain smoker :P

This.... is Rudy.

You have such an interesting style, I love it :3
-

I Have to agree ^^
-
Why thankyou, that's so kind of you to say.
-
I'm liking! :3:3
-
You seem to be the resident Piccasso, and I mean that as a compliment.
Nice work. :)
-
aww thanks :3
Though I'm far from good compared to most of the artists here 0:)

Something Gabag asked me to do. Having someone want something of me really makes me work ten times harder... which kinda shows how little I work on my normal stuff :P
-
HOLY BEJEEBUS!!!!
*faints then comes back*
man do I look evil
yes evil.... now I must make preparations for payment (if you want something) or conquering the world!

This.... is Rudy.
P.S. Rudy looks like a team rocket member, but way cooler and probably more efficient
double P.S. I would use the picture as an avatar if this site didn't scale it down so badly...
-
yes evil.... now I must make preparations for payment (if you want something) or conquering the world!
payment? pff, nah payment is for quality products. I'm just a guy who likes to draw :)

Alien! look out!
I didnt expect the whole tie-dye effect, but shading for him is a mystery to me, so I ended up with this :P
I like it.
-
Coloring and shading looks great. And the alien looks very cute. :)
-
Yeah he's a cutey, and thanks :3

I'm just shooting these things out like a CANNON!
This one is purely inspired by Jonathan Coulton's, "Podsafe Christmas Song"
I dont even celebrate christmas, I'm a muslim :P
Oh and here's the song, put to some WoW machinima. You should watch the other stuff the guy who made the video has done. It's pretty good.

I really like Rudy. Your work is still nice.. And as Edaniel said, you have an interesting style.
-
Wahahaha! I love them!
-
Thankyou, all of you.
And thanks for even looking at these silly drawings. I always wanted to be an artist, but life just pulled me into writing, so it's nice to know i'm not completely artistically void :P

Just a little something to last the year. I doubt I'll do much if anything during the holidays, so you get a rare view of one of my RP characters in her smart casual off-duty attire.

-
Like I said, THE professional on this site. You have a very kitchs-y style, and yes I spelled kitch wrong so sue me. -.- But I love what you do. You can draw animals waayy better than moi and you're great with effects and such. Thumbs up. B)
-
Thankyou very very much, though I am certain that you are mistaken. There are much better artists than I on this site. Rigor's probably my favourite, I can't even get proportions right, compared to her I'm doodling on the walls.
-
I need this.
I need to excercise my visual creativity.
Without it, I feel inwardly crippled.
So I colour in, probably the most uncomfortably drawn character I have.
He's not my style.
He's my anti-style.
Now to get back to my English work

So, thanks for the compliment and I agree :D
-
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/bizarrocreatures.jpg)
honestly... I just dont know why I scanned these in... but I'm just clearing out all the pictures that need colouring and this happened to be one of them... It's just weird. Also, smudge for the lazy win
-
This used to be a nice normal picture... what on earth happened in photoshop? The devil has infested this picture :P

well essentially it's normal photoshop but your comp must be built from the blood of the ancient ones.

really old pic that i coloured yesterday
-
Dude I love your style >. < Im heavily influed by it when i draw <.<'' I feel like such a copycat when i draw stuff ad it tends to look like you style so i Kinda always have to redraw -.-''
-
your joking, right? influenced by my style? I'm not a terrible artist but... really?
-
Well, when i draw Characters mostly. and whats so strange about it? :S did i say something Wrong?
Edit: And well, im also a beginner in drawing, So im trying diffrent styles, and my most reasent (3 drawings) ones Looked like your style.
-
You didn't say anything wrong, I just normally think that people who others subconsciously take styles off of are proper artists, not people like me.
-
Define a ''proper'' artist, I mean honestly, I like you style more then Zeph's. Just because its soo diffrent and original (too me)
And also your definetly not the best artist ever, But your probably one of the artists i like the most^^
-
huh, maybe that graphic design course paid off after all :P

Bunny Ship!

And something I came up with when I was messing about colouring the bunny ship

Gee, thanks.

Gee, thanks.
Zeph....j...Wha? you act like Im saying your art is bad, Which i never did, Geez, your drawings are awesome zeph, But i just took your art as an ''example'' (Since i was on your Artpage to) Am i not allowed to say that i like his more then most artists work? please don't take it personal :'(
*Holds Up hands to offer a hug* No hard feelings?
-
Too late.
-
I think it was your use of "what's a proper artist?" - Zeph classes herself as an artist, she studies art at college and like all of us who are pursuing a degree in a specific area, we are professionals in that area.
It's not the fact you may prefer his art to her own, after all people have different tastes and opinions, it was the way it was phrased. It didn't sound as much as it was your opinion rather a fact.
-
aaaaand moving swiftly on, we have VIOLENCE!
This was a REEEEAAAAALLLY old picture I drew, I probably drew it before I ever even considered furries.
I liked it so much, I coloured it in yesterday
-
It kind of reminds me of the giants who hold up the moon in Zelda Majora's Mask. :P
-
cool
'nother old pic! American Mcgee stylee

-
wow, I haven't posted since january. I'm a bad bunny
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/dustycat.jpg)
I know the actual shape to the guy is absolutely all over the place. It's a rather bad drawing but I dont know what it is about this guy... potential perhaps?
-
Again, not very well drawn but I like it, I dunno why, maybe it's the pose, maybe cus it's the first well drawn hand i ever did... and even then it's rather funky.
-
Probably one of my favourites so far.

I had time on my hands.
-
nobody ever comments on my stuff >:(
anyway! i drew this a long while ago. It ain't furry but I like posting things up regardless. I had been watching Candy Boy at the time (seriously great anime if you're into relaxed lesbian romance). I hadn't drawn anime in ages. I hadn't drawn humans in aaages. I still love mah furries and robots more.

Like the Red Four legged thing XD But arent the backlegs a little high compared to the front legs :?
And the Girl/guy is.........I dunno actually XD
-
But arent the backlegs a little high compared to the front legs
yes... yes they are. It was based on a TERRIBLE drawing I did, but I quite like what I did with it.
And the Girl/guy is.........I dunno actually XD
Good to know :P
-
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/ummm.jpg)
i have no idea what on earth was happening when I drew this, but hey I just ran with it. When I coloured it... well that's just me having fun :P this is so stupid :P
-
I like the colours.
-
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/concernedfoxhead.jpg)
just a little thing
-
You have quite an eye for color. I like it!
-
Why thankyou very much, that's very kind of you. I do try to make things very colourful and impactful. I love bright vibrancy and broad simplicity. A kind of chaotic cohesian. Ofcourse I'm not at where I want to be in that respect just yet, but i will be, eventually.
Stay tuned, viewers, for by the end of the week, Dinosaurs will roam the thread.

Here's one of my favourite images i made for the project. It's not briliant and the perspective is messssssed, but i like it.
-
Once again impressive work AsiaBunny. I like office piece the most.
-
thankyou very much, that's very kind of you.
Here's another, that's in the rain, so everything is suitably wet.

Wonderful job, Asia. You have to admire someone willing to put in so much effort on a project, and the results are very pleasing to the eye. ^_^
-
I like your style, keep it up :3
-
Thankyou, both of you, it's always brilliant to get feedback and I love the fact that you lot like this stuff.

You should try start a comic, your style is purrfect for a comic :3
-
I am going to make a comic. It's called Desert Rats and i've scripted a good 10 pages or so. I've drew the first page a long while ago but I didn't have the time nor the confidence to commit to a page a week webcomic. Now that I have a bit of time, I think i'll go ahead with it. Once I've coloured it, I'll post it up here and see what people think... actually, what do people think? to anyone who looks at my stuff or possibly even read my stories, would people read a comic made by me?
as rather bad incentive, here's a clumsily drawn T-rex
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/Barzini2copy.jpg)
-
I drew a horse.
love meeeeee

Horse? o.o
-
BEHOLD!
I mades a new one
-
I think that one's cute.
-
i agree with zeph, that is a cute one ^_^
and i like your more abstracty backgrounds :P
-
Thankyou Zeph, thankyou Kitt.
I've never been good at real backgrounds because I never think of what should be there until after i've drawn the subject, so instead i go for the abstract, and I keep changing it and working at it until i make something pleasing.
-
I like the new one, it reminds me of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I like the animal the rabbit is riding, reminds me of a wolf :3
-
Thanks White, I'll probably do a lot more non-anthros in the future.
As for now, I've had a bad day, so i messed about with some experiments.
-
Oooh, cool, i like the bunny, looks like he ish wearing a pyjamas or sumthin X3
-
to me, he looks like he's melting, like he's made of marshmallow or something :P
here's another experiment, drawing something on photoshop without any linework on paper

And that most recent one is cool, real sense of movement, and in all honesty i dont see too much wrong with the anatomy, your style is intriguing buddy! ;)

thinks Kitt, I think the movement comes mostly from me doing this straight on photoshop. the poses become a lot more dynamic because i don't have to think about them that much. I just put a blur and it slowly forms by itself.
-
Kitty playing on the field with the Hell's Angels, now where's the ballistic knife to go with the killing rage batter XD!!!
-
WIN! You actually did the Shepard Shuffle!
the cat is adorable like all cats (obviously, because cats are just that awesome)
And our friend with the bat looks... angry, What is he planning on beating down?
looks like demons to me but I could be wrong
-
Yes... I did the Shepard Shuffle :D
and the dude with the bat? Originally he was attacking the viewer, but now he's just attacking anything. He's mental, you see :P
I'm very happy with the pictures I've been doing, and I looked back at all the previous ones I posted here and I have to say, in the seven months of on and off posting I've gotten good at this. I'm finally generally able to really express that colourful crazy style that always I've wanted to show. I think I might start posting things up on FA and DA, because I always shied away. I always asked myself, "If I was looking at this stuff... would I 'watch' my profile."
Looking at these recent pictures, I would say yes. :)
-
Haven't commenetd in a while-- but I always enjoy your pics :D
The crazed batter one made me laugh-- you could say hes 'batty'...! --Is banned from the internet forever--
anyways, good work and I'm liking the style. :D
-
thankya... and yeah that joke should be burned at the stake...
NEW DRAWING
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/Robot.jpg)
-
nice one
-
I have no idea what that is, but it has great shading and it looks like it has two handguns 8D
-
It's a robot, in a post-apocalyptic setting... so to avoid the specter of unoriginality, here's my fursona in some dusty sandy ancient-temple-like place.
there are issues.. but i've made a jpeg of it now, so i cant be bothered to go to the psd file and fix something i've already finalised :P
also, that's my fursona... he's in development, and he certainly wont be wearing bright emerald green all the time
-
I like both of 'em Asia, great work buddy... hope to see more! :P
-
I really should be working, but instead I did this... well actually I did bits of this over time. When I realised what I was drawing, I became daunted by the task, because it's really rather delicate. It requires a gentle touch, and I am not a gentle touch.
I'm really quite proud of what I made though. It's got my style, but it also has a certain poetry to it...
Enjoy
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/Girllyingonthefloor.jpg)
-
Ooooh, awesome!
-
Oh my god, Asia.... that is wonderfull :P
I'm glad you feel proud of it, because you should... it really reflects your style and i love it :3
As always, cant wait to see what else you draw in the future ;)
-
Abstract powers! I like those jeans :P. I also love the stars below the person, rawr I think that's a paintbrush in Photoshop :?
-
I also love the stars below the person, rawr I think that's a paintbrush in Photoshop :?
Yes, and it's the only time I've ever used it, and I'll probably not use it for a long time after as well. To me, it's always seemed very childish and simplistic in a bad way. I guess that's why it works in that picture.
But anyway, Finally, with privacy on my side, I can get to drawing again. It's the end of the academic year, I can do anything, so what do i do? Bad concept art. :P
I'm gonna try to do a webcomic soon, and I want things to be ready for it, particularly characters. So here's an early concept for one of the main characters.
There's so much wrong with this picture, but it's a lot better than he used to look.
He used to be called Kaiser, but I think I might called him Faizal, or Fletcher... one of the two.
other characters will look a lot better, trust me. They're much more visually interesting.
-
Asia... there is somthing about your style of artwork that is really interesting :P
Cant wait to see the other character concepts :3
-
Yeah that looks pretty good actually, you do nice brush effects together and makes me think of some sort of hybrid Vincent Van Gogh with modern techniques in the power of bunny paws :D
-
Cool, i like comics :3
-
Guess who's started posting on his FA account?
Haha, also just did the latest concept for another of my characters. this one is called Marylin due to her dyed blonde hair.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3881160/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3881160/)
Oh yeah and my first paid commission was completed. Thankyou White, you're a great customer.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3880520/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3880520/)
-
No problem! I love that green glow in the floor, reminds me of a chaos emerald <3.
-
The character concept looks real good Asia, as does mr.Wolgon :P
Good work :3
-
I really love gender stereotypes taken to extremes, like the Tank and Witch from Left4Dead, or the brothers and sisters from The Void
So here's my concepts for the third main character of my webcomic.
Oh yeah and I love robots.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3885265 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3885265)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3885274/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3885274/)
There is one comment on this thread that I forgot to address, and I really wanted to because it allows me to talk about my favourite artists.
Yeah that looks pretty good actually, you do nice brush effects together and makes me think of some sort of hybrid Vincent Van Gogh with modern techniques in the power of bunny paws :D
I can see where the Van Gogh similarity appears, but I certainly didn't try to move with the old master. Primarily my style arises from my own erraticness, my energy, my hyperactivity. I don't stay on things for too long, and I like it when there is a lot of movement to a picture. When I first really started experimenting in this direction, I pushed the movement as far as I could and one of my graphic design teachers loved it, while the other realised that nobody else could see what on earth was going on. I toned it down and ended up with a comic book, of which the last page was this:
Now think about it. That's what it looked like when toned down. Imagine how it used to be, with about twice or maybe three times the confusion.
I still toy with the extremes from time to time, but... well you've seen what I normally produce. As you all well know, initially I would draw something out in pencil, then pen, then colour it in. I used to use real paints which would sometimes run away with me and my erraticness. It ends up creating an unintelligible mess, often with only one or two overriding colours. There's a certain lack of control that I don't like. Also, it was big, expensive and messy. So instead, I went with painting on photoshop, which only required lots of scanning in of drawings. I didn't like doing that either because once it's on the computer, I can't change the original linework particularly easily. It always comes off as an unconvincing patch job. As well as that, the linework in pen was always quite rigid and smooth, leaving very little movement and life that the original pencil sketch had.
One quote that always comes to mind is from Ralph Steadman, artist of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I think he said something like
I don't like going over things in pen, because the drawing loses its life.
(the White Rabbit, by Ralph Steadman)
I definitely got inspired by him to do things strangely. I started drawing straight off in pen, but then found mistakes utterly irreperable, though some were rather pleasing. Eventually a picture gets filled with so many mistakes that I end up back where I started, not knowing where anything is anymore. I found this method of artwork unsustainable though it did bring forth some of my longest lasting characters.
(I should say now that I'm not doing things chronologically, but more thematically, however, that said, this is a good place to point out my other inspiration at that time was the sculptures of Nicolas Caesar. They're strange, twisted, dark and very imaginative. I also toyed briefly with the style of Dave McKean, illustrator of the Sandman comics. In fact, here's what I came up with:
Yes it's... odd, but it was an experiment after all. Anyway, moving on:)
I found this strange, twisted and permanent world of art to not fit right with my "style," even though I didn't know what that style was. I went back to pencil and paper drawings of very neat, very static characters, and felt as though I was going backwards, betraying my artistic sensibility.
All this changed after watching an episode of Friday Night with Johnathon Ross. They were interviewing the Gorillaz, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Being the comic book fan that he is, Johnathon Ross focused on Jamie Hewlett's past as one of the creators of Tank Girl. Since I absolutely loved the art for the Gorillaz, I decided to check it out. One of the first things I found was a news story about how Tank Girl was being revived, and the first new volume, called Tank Girl: The Gifting was to be illustrated by a man called Ashley Wood. This was the front cover:
I was intrigued, so i went to his blog, and stayed there for the next 6 hours, just looking through his art. It was beautiful.
This is one of his more expressive yet simplistic pictures, and he has plenty of detailed and realistic ones... but just look at that. It's stupid and awesome in equal measure. That's what I want.
So right now, he's my main influence. He's where I want to be. I want that impact, I want that skill, I want that movement.
I've a long way to go from here, but then I've only just started.
-
That rabbit at first glance to me looked like it held a revolver lol, weird but I guess if we were to get psychological here it would be because I prefer to imagine a gun before a pocketwatch :P
-
Redesigned that cat dude as a rat. He was bland before, but now he's oozing character... dunno about the fur colouring though, and the expression could certainly use a bit of perking up, this rather quick and rushed really, oh well. here he is. Faizl... I spelt faizal wrong... but I like this spelling, it's cool... Faizl it is then... for now.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3896350 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3896350)
Probably the last or second last bit of concept art I do before I do the actual webcomic, as well as start on my uni project for next year. Lots to do.
-
That my friend really is a Gun Bunny :P
Good stuff :3
-
Ok, so I haven't even asked Tweak for a website for my webcomic, but I will soon. I just want to sort things out. Make sure I have the time and the style right. That's why this first page needs the opinions of everyone. Is it good? bad? what's good about it? what's bad about it? can you understand what's going on? You don't have to do an essay on it. A sentence is all i need.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3904877/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3904877/)
-
Actually I like it, looks rather good o.o. *Claps for the magic bunny*
-
Hehe, im looking forward to reading it :3
-
First page looks okay, though I have some constructive critique if you want to hear it.
I know you've said you like to have a whole "energy" thing going on in your art, but you should remember that although that may be okay in individual artworks, when you're trying to tell a story, abstracted images and indistinct images are going to work against you. The middle left panel is the weakest of them in that regard. Honestly the only way I could tell that was a leg at all was solely based on the "huff huff" carried over from the first panel. While it still got the idea across, it might not be as strong as if it was more clearly defined. The first panel is the best, because it is very easy to see what's actually in the panel - person being chased by a tank through a desert of some sort.
That doesn't even necessarily mean you have to draw actual clean line art or anything if you don't want to. Just strive to make your outlines a little bit cleaner so they are then clearer for the viewer to see.
-
good, very cinematic in your choice of scenes and 'shot angles'.. thats mah sentence for you... hope to see more buddy :P
-

Yeah, I can see that. But I really want that balance between wild art and comprehensible images... I'll probably change the left panel to a full shot of the character.
And thanks everyone for the praise and critiques
New image :)

Two new images, this time headshots.
one inspired during a little renard music blasting into my ears at full volume
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/3936182/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/full/3936182/)
And the second, running off the shadows of the first.
It's a little bit of fursona experimentation, i'm trying to figure out what i am.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3936206/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3936206/)

My friends challenged me... I'm supposed to be writing a novel, but instead i kill people and draw puppy dogs... sometimes simultaneously.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3994102 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3994102)
-
Puppyyyyy! :P Cool stuff Asia :3
-
Today, I've been watching the E3 conference on Gamespot, and have been drawing when games I'm not interested in are being shown, so here's two drawings.
Here's a redesign of my fursona where i basically just threw everything at it. We'll see what stays in later iterations
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4018539 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4018539)
And my friend says he loves dinosaurs, so i drew this!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4018990 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4018990)
-
N'aaaw... the dino is cute :P
-
dang skippy he is, and Kitt, I can always rely on you to comment on my work. thanks.
-
No problem Asia, i always enjoy seeing what you cook up next :3
-
Aw thanks.
OMG A HOOMAN
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4029311/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4029311/)
-
OMG NOOOOOOO
lol, it's cool :P
-
Sweet, duel wieldin' daggers ftw :P
-
YESSSS KNIVES <3! Good character, great weapons!
-
Picha too
(http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n300/scumlander/IdeasonImagination.jpg)
oh man I love this abstract style
-
Oooh, that was ages ago.
Cool.
I'll probably make something new when I have time... which will probably be tomorrow. I have an abstact coloured crazy one I made as well, but I like to balance out the crazy with the contained.
-
I like to balance out the crazy with the contained.
A quote befitting of Asia and his artwork :P
-
I like to balance out the crazy with the contained.
A quote befitting of Asia and his artwork :P
Indeed, and so here's the crazy one:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4116640 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4116640)
And here's the contained:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4116652/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4116652/)
-
It feels like I've been neglecting this, but in actual fact I've been doing quite a few drawings that will be posted once it all gets put together.
Plus, since Ramadhan started, I've had a lot more time on my hands, so I've started a 30 day challenge, as decscribed here:
http://princesssylvia.tumblr.com/post/797361069/it-was-an-ugly-ugly-drawing-but-i-just-wanted-to (http://princesssylvia.tumblr.com/post/797361069/it-was-an-ugly-ugly-drawing-but-i-just-wanted-to)
So here's day 1: a picture of me
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4302550/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4302550/)
I'm pretty sure this will be my permanent fursona. I've settled and sorted it, and I like how it looks :D
-
Oh, thats cool... Really love that red shirt :P
And the 30 Day drawing challenge looks interesting... hmn.... Might give that a go myself some time :3
-
I wish I had that red shirt in real life. I can barely ever find one, and when I do it always looks rubbish. One time I saw a bright red T-shirt that was amazing, but had a picture of a half naked girl on it so I certainly couldn't buy it and show it off. My mum would have a fit... It looked brilliant though.
Anyway! Day 2: favourite animal
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4305759/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4305759/)
Also, a request I took up.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4303125 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4303125)
-
Ive got a red hoodie a bit like that :/
Anyway, sideways fox XP Looks good, and kinda funny with the way his head is cocked to one side like that :P
And that wolf is awesome, really like the background... ish trippy :o
-
Why thankyou thankyou thankyou...
and here's two more!
This was for Leogon and Crevan
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4310533/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4310533/)
and this was for day 3 of the 30 day thing
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4310519/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4310519/)
-
Thank's for the pic BTW Asia, Love it. And awesome work
-
You're very much welcome :)
-
Day 4, my favourite place:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4315476 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4315476)
and second, A meme... An old one. I collected quite a few over the past few weeks or months and intended to do them a while ago... but I'm doing them now :)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4317006 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4317006)
-
Wow it's been a long time since I updated. I apolagise. I've done a few things but my artwork has massively slowed down. Probably because of new games that I got (Just Cause 2, Mafia II, worth every penny) but i did do some things and I'll be posting them up here one every few days to stretch it out.
Also, because of university coming up soon, I won't have time to do any free art for people. I'll only draw something if it's just for my sake, or if I'm getting paid.
I don't need to be paid much though.
If anyone wants anything, you can choose how much to pay... as long as it's above $2/£1. It'll be more expensive for more complex comissions.
anyway, here's the first of the art that I've done.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320200 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320200)
-
She looks like... a jack-rabbit! Jackal+Rabbit :3
-
Thats really good, I love your style :P
You got lots of little details in there which makes the drawing come together :3
-
Thank you, thankyou very much.
and jackalrabbit? I see her more as a lizard rabbit... thing... like a geckobunny
okay, next drawing is of my best friend, as part of that 30 day drawing thing (which I apparently stopped at day 6: I failed :( oh wel :P )
He's not a furry, but he is very small:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320517 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320517)
-
It's the real life interpretation of the matrix! He looks so cool 8D
-
Excellent work, Asia. You are very talented with your style and I like your method of computer coloring. 0:) B) 0:)
-
She looks like... a jack-rabbit! Jackal+Rabbit :3
For me she looks like a rabbit + kangaroo :P I love her big and looong ears !
...
He's not a furry, but he is very small:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320517 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320517)
It's good to see something non furry too ^_^
My first impression was like - Wow that guy has escaped from Matrix XD
Very nice work, Asia ! ^_^
-
For me she looks like a rabbit + kangaroo :P I love her big and looong ears !
That actually really makes sense. Yeah I like that..
And thanks everyone for the compliments. It really means a lot. :)
So, here's another piece of art. You've probably all seen it before. It's Radfox's avatar
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4321487 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4321487)
There are mistakes, but it's quite nice though :)
-
He looks a bit crazy! *Applauds*
-
Rabaroo? :P
And i love the awesome rainbow-ey background :3
-
Haha i totally love his face expression ^_^
Background is very nice and sooo colorful, it fits him perfectly !
-
He looks a bit crazy! *Applauds*
From the brief he gave me, I was just like... what the heck, this ain't gonna be easy... but I enjoyed it, it was fun to put even more colour than I normally do.
Rabaroo? :P
Kangabit
Haha i totally love his face expression ^_^
Background is very nice and sooo colorful, it fits him perfectly !
Thanks, and a rainbow just seemed like the most perfect choice for him. I felt inspired :P
Anyway, thanks everyone, here's a new one. NewFur's avatar.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4388398 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4388398)
-
Me likes.... The star marking just below his eye is cool, and there is never anything wrong with big fluffy ears :P
Nice background too :)
-
Fluffiness in general for the win! I like the pose, reminds me of a stationary gargoyle :D
-
Yay for fluffies
Me likes.... The star marking just below his eye is cool, and there is never anything wrong with big fluffy ears :P
Nice background too :)
The star was his idea, and yeah the background is pretty awesome. I knew I wanted something abstract, I just didn't know what it would be.
I like the pose, reminds me of a stationary gargoyle :D
That's quite true... hah that's cool.
Anyway, no on to something that I had been working on and off with, for like half a year... Kitt's request. I'll do things bit by bit. For today, here's Coonel Crow
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4392762 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4392762)
-
That's one epic husky, I love the gun! His right leg looks short, could just be the view though o.o
-
Wow he looks a little bit like some kind of bounty hunter or mercenary to me ! ^_^
Love his face expression, he looks really angry !
-
That's one epic husky, I love the gun! His right leg looks short, could just be the view though o.o
I dont think it is shorter, I think the proportions for each section are different. Strange... but yeah he's cool
Love his face expression, he looks really angry !
His face is brilliant, I love it. He's a proper rough guy.
Anyway, part two of Kitt's request, and arguably the most popular on FA: Kate
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4395784/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4395784/)
-
Colonel Crow eats Triffids for breakfast, and washes it down with nails and bricks... He is one psychotic husky :P
And Kate is one sexy feline... That was the first character you drew, and easily the coolest :3
on to something that I had been working on and off with, for like half a year
Definitely worth the wait, all the characters you drew really capture the characters themselves from the Rp :)
-
I always love when a request is fulfilled, making everyone happy :)
Here is the last of the character focused drawings, it's Kitt and Annie
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4399440 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4399440)
-
I do agree that the leg on the husky is slightly short, but different perspective could account for that. But a great drawing. :D
The next two are very lively and the one with Kitt and Annie is beyond adorable. Though I don't really like the overtly jagged nature of the outlines and the inattention to color bleeding. That is solely me however, and I understand that it was in the nature of style.
-
My brother is the same as you, he likes art to be neat and clean. I can't do that, it's just not in me to make things all nice and neat and uniform. I like things to have movement. To feel alive.
-
They are great drawings and I love them. I can also appreciate a need for movement. :3 My first impression when I saw the characters however was...poof. so fuzzy! thats why I complained about jaggedness in your lines. But then I realized that hey, theyre furries. of course they are fuzzy and poofy.. so I take it back actually. :D besides it makes them cuter....
-
My brother is the same as you, he likes art to be neat and clean. I can't do that, it's just not in me to make things all nice and neat and uniform. I like things to have movement. To feel alive.
If i can tell what its basic shape is, then i dont really care how the lines are
i like the jaggedness-ness, it's different from the neatness im so used to seeing
Good Job Asia Kali Yusufazi, you did it!
-
Super tails for the win! I still wonder today how some anthropomorphic characters keep their tails unscathed D: I like the lines myself *Holds up past Asia commission* Muahaha!
-
I love them Asia, Pure epicness
-
Well thank you, each and every one of you. It's surprising how many people actually look at this thread.
so for all of you, here is the final piece as a collage type thing all put together.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4404048 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4404048)
-
That looks like a painting o.o, how much time did you spend on that..?
-
That is epicness right there :3
-
I said it to you before... But I'l happily say it again... Thank you! :P
It is truly awesome, i love it... Each individual character and the final piece... tis awesome :3
-
Oh my goodness that is a good composition. I adore the lighting and use of color. :D
-
That looks like a painting o.o, how much time did you spend on that..?
Not too long. A couple of hours maybe.
There's actually quite a bit I would change about it, but well it's done now :P
-
BTW Asia i am using one of your art pieces as my AVI hehe
-
I love it when people do that :)
-
Yush, I love it SOOO much and it shows the fact that me and Leo recently became mates, Thanks once again :3
-
That's a piece of a very nice work, Asia ! ^_^
Aww i especially like Kate here, she looks so adorable with that rifle ^_^
-
Aw well thank you very much.
Now to show some of the newest stuff I've done:
Here's a harpy eagle (my favourite bird.)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4404974/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4404974/)
-
I love it! I like the smearing effect to indicate feathers and the dark black and white base colors. Very provocative. :D
-
Everything looks amazing! Keep up the great work!
-
Oooh thankya thankya.
I totally forgot to show you guys this one:

To me, Asia, your art screams New York in a very unique way. And thats a great thing I think. I mean, I can totally picture your art hanging up in a mod art show in a heartbeat, maybe with some smooth jazz floating in the background, or as a painted graffiti mural or wall painting in a club or cafe...in other words I like your style a lot.
-
In all the years I've been moulding my style, not once did I ever think someone would describe it as New York... that totally came out of nowhere for me :P But thanks a lot, that's a big big compliment :)
-
Asia if you do not mind being mooched please read my topic called mooch mooch mooch X3
-
In some way i must agree with Sasha, your style and arts are very unique ^_^ I don't know why but every time i'm browsing through your or Kitt's art topic i can find something interseting and inspirational !
-
I agree with both Sasha and Catfish... Your artwork is brilliant, I love how vibrant and energetic they always are! Great stuff indeed :P
And Catfish, its funny you said that about my art thread, because all the art you post in yours I find inspirational myself XP
-
Asia if you do not mind being mooched please read my topic called mooch mooch mooch X3
I would love to help you out, I've always wanted to do a good rave scene, because of the strange light conditions and smoke and filters and all that stuff, but I don't really have time. A month ago, I would have jumped at the chance, but I've got to write like 2000 words a day now for all my writing stuff, and I only have time for a doodle every few days.
If I find myself with time on my hands, I'll see what I can do, but dont rely on me :)
Catfish, its funny you said that about my art thread, because all the art you post in yours I find inspirational myself XP
Artists feeding off eachother, it's brilliant.
Anyway, newest thing I drew in like half an hour.

Well hello there. She is very cute. :3
-
My, my, she is a beauty :P Again, vibrant colours and full of energy... Nice one :)

That's alright, I know a bunch of sights that I can probably get an artist from.
-
That is quite the connection, though Alvin is red and she's pretty red!
-
That is quite the connection, though Alvin is red and she's pretty red!
And red's my favourite colour.
-
Wow something non furry this time ! ^_^ You've done a good job with her anatomy and proportions !
I really don't know why but somehow she reminds me a Harley Quinn from Batman XD (that was my first impression when i saw her XD )
Nice work, Asia !

I'm very happy to hear that, Kitt ! ^_^

But seriously? I really do like this one. It's great. Just blah

Awesomely vibrant colours n' stuff... Looks good :)
-
Oh wows :o
THE PURPLENESS
-
Thanks ya all. And that's probably the best your gonna get for months, SO ENJOY IT :P
-
Wow ! It's very COLORFUL and expressive ! :D
...Awesomely vibrant colours n' stuff...
I totally agree ! :D
-
Is my stuff turning rubbish? I dont know. I don't like the stuff I'm making. I'm unsure about it. It's more abstract and that's cool but... it's not grabbing me.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4585784/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4585784/)
-
Coulda fooled me for a 3D model in some shading! Reminds me of cel shading actually.
-
The lines look a little harsher the your norm, but it looks fine to me
I thought I say hi :P, seeing how this is the only work you post anymore ;-;
-

the lines are too thick, I'm a fan of your sketch looking style, with the rough lines.
i mean it's what makes you you.
as for thr abstraction, i could never understand abstract art so dont ask my opinion on it if you want a fair judgement.

thanks a lot, and yeah university kinda eats my time

Yeah I see what you're saying, and to be fair, no matter how much I experiment, I tend to always go back to that style. Alright, thanks for the advice.
-
Personally I like it... Abstract art isn't my favourite style, but It still looks good... For some reason my favourite part would have to be the background, dont ask why, I have no idea XP
But I would definitely not say your work is 'turning rubbish'... Everyone has some highs and lows with everything, including art I guess :)
Edit:
Oh, and its awesome your still posting art here, despite all the time that must be taken up with Uni work :P
-
Thanks. Though I don't seem to like anything I'm making recently. I did three different writing excercises and I like none of them :P But then I didn't like the excercises anyway.
Oh, and its awesome your still posting art here, despite all the time that must be taken up with Uni work
To be honest, I'm just tremendously lazy. I could draw something new every day, and write something, and read something, and still have some time to play games. But as I said, I'm lazy.
-
Hehe, same... I'm at home, not actually all that ill... And i should be getting on with graphics coursework... Yet I'm not :P
-
It looks like a 3d art mixed with some abstract or something like that ! You did a very nice work with shadows here, Asia ^_^
To be honest, I'm just tremendously lazy. I could draw something new every day, and write something, and read something, and still have some time to play games. But as I said, I'm lazy.
I have the same problem ^_^
-
I'm surprised everyone sees 3d. That's very odd, but cool nonetheless
-
revisiting your picture
i could see how it seems 3D to people
the rounded edges of the head bulge out in a way that seems like it's three dimensional but upon closer inspection it isnt
so now he's into optical illusions.
-
and back to the more "realistic" stuff
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4594965/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4594965/)
I love this one. I think it turned out brilliantly. It's the best expression i've ever done. I did it really quickly, and it does everything I want it to. The expression, the pose, the emotion is there. It's great.
Plus I love all the crazy errors everywhere.
-
the left hand is a little creepy looking.
I like the coloring, and its a nice stance, +1 for the face :P
-
That hand is hideous :P I could fix it, but I wont :P
-
And if you did it wouldn't be your art
-
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4610874/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4610874/)
I am very very proud of this... I love it.
-
Awesome, I really like the lighting in that one. Nice and atmospheric :)
-
The guy standing there is so.... mannish!
-
I like how you left it's identity kinda vague
helps add to the atmosphere
-
He looks like a some kind of a sith lord from Star Wars universe to me ! :* (but without lightsaber XD )
I especially like his mask, it makes him look very mysterious. You did a very good work with shadows, Asia ! ^_^
-
Thanks a lot everyone. It's one of the few times I tried to draw an actual background, and I think that, along with the lighting helped a lot with the atmosphere, but yeah thanks for all the compliments.
The guy standing there is so.... mannish!
um.... 'kay :D

Woo! new stuff
-
^_^ Ravens are totally awesome!
And I liked the emote meme, nice one :P
-
Yes they are!
And thanks about the emote meme, I didn't put it on here cus it was just an excercise and not an endeavour, but I just finished the linework for this latest drawing, and it's looking awesome. I should have it done in a day or two.
-
Sweet, cant wait to see it :)

Pow! done it!
-
Awesome! :P Epic backwards leap, with guns ablaze B)
-
Guns! I like it already, looks good with the dynamic pose and the wall poster looks like something out of a comic book!
-
Thanks a lot you guys,
Guns! I like it already, looks good with the dynamic pose and the wall poster looks like something out of a comic book!
That's actually a poster I made for that webcomic project I was thinking of doing. I might still do it, but the story needs fixing.
anyway, ANOTHER PIC!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4718669/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4718669/)
-
Nice work, Asia ! I especially like that guy with pistols ^_^ His pose is very nice and dynamic, and you did a good work with the gun perspective !
I wish that i could draw some dynamic poses like this one !
-
THanks a lot, I really did want to make something action packed and exciting with lots of dynamic movement, which is something i really don't do enough of.
I guess it's also a question of style. my style needs movement, it needs story to really shine, while yours has a kind of contemplative stillness to it. It's beauty for beauty's sake, and I like that.
-
I tried to make something that looks traditionally painterly and normal and all that.... what I ended up with was much more awesome.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4789575/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4789575/)
-
Wow that is cool, I like the detail on the person's body, especially on the face. Really shows well how much work you put into this one :)
-
Traditional? Pah! This is way cooler :P As i've always said I think your style is awesome, so vibrant, and this latest one just proves it even further. The red yellows and oranges are so energetic and, may I say it again, vibrant! Great work Asia ^_^
-
I especially like coloring, it's very intense and dynamic ! ^_^
...Traditional? Pah! This is way cooler :P As i've always said I think your style is awesome, so vibrant,...
I must agree with Kitt. Your style is very unique, Asia ^_^
-

Thought I'd try something toony, after watching Faux Pas the Techno Cat
What do you think?
-
Love it ^_^ The cat looks so cute pawing at the screen like that :)
-
That's very nice and cute, Asia ! ^_^ I also see some little changes in your style, it's a little bit different than usual !
I would really like to see some more works like that one !
-

Thanks Kitt

Well, I came at this from a different angle, wanting it to be generally clean and more stereotypically cartoony. Not that I'd ever want to be like all the other toony illustrations out there, but I wanted to try it, and see if I could do it.
But dont worry, I will be doing more, for now. I like that cat.
-
Okay, so this one isn't toony, but it's definitely more normal than I... normally do :P lemme rephrase that, it's more typical for FA
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4841510 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4841510)

-
Thanks Kitt

Thanks, I pretty much did that picture to be more clean and nice in my style, also i focused on anatomy for him. I really wanted him to be my experiment, and to be honest, I really like him. I'll probably keep him as a character.
In fact I made another picture of him, more in my old style.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4860728/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4860728/)
-

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4860728/
Wow, I love that pose! Looks great :)
-
Thanks a lot, i did want to play with perspective and all that and I think it worked. I might use it as my desktop background.
this next one is far less interesting in terms of pose, so i made it rain to experiment with it. I should have read a tutorial on it, but i wanted to see what i could come up with.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4865552/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4865552/)
Also... what do you lot think I should call this guy? I've thought up a whole story for him.
-
Well I found a really good tutorial for doing rain in photoshop/paintshop: http://alexiuss.deviantart.com/gallery/3239976#/d1wxt4w (http://alexiuss.deviantart.com/gallery/3239976#/d1wxt4w)
About halfway down the tutorial page shows how to do rain, clouds, lightning etc... The guy is a really good artist :P
Basically, just add 'noise' on a new layer. Then add 'motion blur' to the entire layer, and you end up with lots of lashing rain :)
Anyway, what you did looks really good. Painting rain is very hard, personally, and you did it well :) As for a name? I'm rubbish with names :/
-
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4868563/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4868563/)
tried it, came up with this. It's not good, but I'm never good with tutorials.
-
So did you make the weather lightning with white lines with smudge, the clouds from monochrome difference clouds or clouds filter, and with an additional spatter filter?
-
To be honest the lightning looks terrible because i tried to mess with it. You probably have to actually be good at drawing to do it right, but whatever. The clouds I just painted and smudged with a big spattery brush.
-
Looks pretty good actually. Like I said, getting a rainy scene to look right is difficult personally. You made a better attempt at it than i've ever done :P
-
I really like the rain effect, it's very nice and climatic ! ^_^ It's a sad scene but very expressive one ! :*
-
Here's something I did for jaggsky
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/5011408/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/full/5011408/)
-
I like her pose it's very nice and natural ^_^ I see that you're back with your previous art style, it's good to see it again ! :D
Good work Asia !
-
Dont despair over the lines, I like your style :P And I agree with Catfish, her pose is real natural and looks great. Overall I think its a nice piece ^_^
-
Thanks both of you. And yeah, i went back to my original style because i hadn't drawn anything in a while and didn't want to be experimental.
So to experiment on drawing curves, I drew some sexy ladies. I'm normally terrible at this, so hopefully these are okay.

To late *watched you talk*
What coloring program do you use
-
Looks good Asia :P Definitely looks like you've gone for more realism in that one, but still retains your original style ^_^
I would also be interested in knowing what colouring program you use :3
-
Thanks :3
and I just use regular old Photoshop, and all drawn with a mouse. I'll get a tablet after university.
-
I like the shading on your newest drawing, looks interesting :P
-
It's actually shading I've applied to some of my other recent stuff, but never to the extent I've done here, so I'ts a lot more noticeable and a lot better applied.
Now for something special
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5213561/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5213561/)
-
You should draw more wabbits :3, I like the background on this drawing!
-
I should draw more wabbits.
-
Awesome ^_^ Looks really good Asia :P
And I concur, more wabbits :)
-
Okay, no wabbits just yet. This is something I've been working on for the past few days and it almost turned into a trainwreck. Hey sometimes things work out, sometimes they dont.
It's not too bad though. Well... I'll leave that up to you.
It's my two characters from my Everflame RP, Dougie and Keiron.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5219636/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5219636/)
-
I really like the shading on the left character, nice contrast to the person on the right as well.
-
Well... I think it turned out pretty good Asia. Those two are a brilliant pair of characters, and I think you portrayed them well :P
-
Well thankyou :)
Wabbit
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5224300 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5224300)
-
This drawing is interesting because it's actually two drawings in one! The middle part reminds me of some sort of Satanic reference though that claim is invalid because the star goes upward. I like the overall color scheme of this one rawr.
-
Kewl, I've been kinda overdosing on the pink in my recent stuff, probably because I've been drawing wabbits. When I think of bunny anthros I think of my fursona, who is super pink. So more pink is needed
And more pink is provided.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5228096 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5228096)
-
I'm still not a fan of disjointed, scribbly lines for characters, yet I still really like these. There's just something so unique about each one, and to help it out, you obviously know what you're doing. I mean you obviously know how to draw, use proportions and computer graphics, etc. You just choose that type of line because it's your style, and I respect that.
-
Actually while it might have gone wrong for what you were going for, the character is still visible as to the pose and the ears :3. Good wabbits 8D
-
After all the writing and organising and procrastinating I've been doing, I needed to draw something just to get it out of my system... Though you may expect more drawings to come.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5416525/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5416525/)
-
b'aawww how cute Asia! what an epic owl ^_^
-
Indeed he is an epic owl :P He was actually a frutstration drawing. The first one I did looked TERRRIBLE, so I just drew any old rubbish and came out with him :)
Oh and I drew another picture.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5417480/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5417480/)
-
Wow, you really know how to work those effects. Great job.
-
Such a lovely dress! X3 No seriously, it's like beautiful! Like whoa dress...colors....dress! You even did such a magical job on that coloring I can even see the position of her leg, from the change in color as her leg pulls the fabric....
Oh wait....Asia is a guy? D: *headdesk* I am sorry...
-
I like the pose you used, and I agree with everything that has already been said about the colours and all that :P
Oh and the by way... Awesome owl! ^_^
-
Yup yup, awesome owl.
Thanks Puncia, it took a while for me to figure out how to make it work.
And thank you sasha... but yeah my fursona is a guy. I don't know why I like putting him in girls clothes, but he looks good in them :P
Okay, new art
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5422090 (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5422090)

Wabbit ^_^
Wabbit with glowy powers that deserve pointing at :P Nice work :3
-
While I was thinking of future projects this popped into my head and I needed to draw it.

-
Dat jacket is awesome :P Looks good :3
-
Yup yup, it's a great jacket. It was originally grey, but it looked like lame, so I spruced it up.
Anyway, the past few pics have been rather normal. Time to get a bit scratchier.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5545202/
-
and something totally different
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5548104
-
You definitely got the early morning feel for that first piece, and the explosion in the second piece is really full of action and motion :P
And now... The larch :3
-
The newest one reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the grail is in the background :P. I like the light coming out of the clouds though, that's cool!
-
Drawing!
I'm drawing again
I drew this
I quite like it :)
Rough but cute.

Cool! Very appropriate perspective for an image of 'seduction' and well excecuted.
-
heh, yeah it's a good perspective, thanks a lot, and thanks for the fav on FA
-
^_^ Nice to see you drawing again Asia, and a nice piece to start off with too :3
I agree with Sasha, very good perspective (I suck with perspectives XP )
-
hmm...
finally managed to finish some experiments with my new tablet.
What you think?

-
I'm a little surprised at the seemingly large improvement in lighting between the first and second picture.
Then again, the girl in the first one has more detailed hair.
I'd have to like the girl in the cave more, out of a personal preference for a great landscape and mood.
-
well in the first one i was figuring out the possibilities of having the new tablet instead of using a mouse. One of the major advantages was an increase in speed and control, which meant I could put in more detail, particularly in the background which had always been my strong point. When I finished I found that the composition really sucked, so I decided to rejig the way I did drawings. Normally I would draw the subject then draw around that. The second drawing was instead done in one continuous thought so it seems more cohesive and has a better mood to it, though the detail sucks and I would re-do it if I could be bothered.
-
Good to see artwork from you again Asia :P
For first time experiments with a tablet I would say they are great! (I definitely know my first attempts with my tablet were terrible X3 )
Anyhow, personal preference here but I actually prefer the first one. The background is nice and full with lots of detail, which having serious trouble with backgrounds myself I can appreciate. Both are great and I cant wait to see more. Oh and your style seems to translate very well to using a tablet. I'm liking what I'm seeing :)
-
Was planning to finish a test webcomic page today, but only managed to finish the colouring. I'll do the lighting and effects next week since I'll be at my sister's until sunday.
So instead I did a quick little thing, just to unwind and get things done.
I'll do more of these in future and if anyone wants, I'll do one for them for free.
I'll put a thread on the FREE STUFF section of the forums when i get back from my sister's.

log in to FA. It's mature due to blood and shooting oneself.

x_x that was a derp moment, I wasn't logged in >.<
Anyhow, now that is sorted out I can tell you what I think, and I think it looks good :) Your style has a lot of attitude, and it shows here.
My only complaint would be the gun in the first panel looks a little weird, but seeing as you've said before you dont like drawing mechanical objects like that I don't think it matters much. The rest of it looks great.
And now I want to know the context as to why she can shoot herself in the head and live :P Hope to see more of this.
-
Thankyou thankyou.
The art on it isn't great, i'm struggling to balance my style with clarity. Things will change but as it is, It's an okay glimpse into how the comic will be.
Anyway, quick thing before dinner.

Okay, here's page 1 of my comic, and I seriously need opinions on what to fix. This comic is where I do all my fixes and changes and upgrades. Everything can change so tell me what you like and dislike.

'What to fix?' personally I don't think there is anything that really needs fixing with it. It is clear, which is one of the most important things with a comic, layout is fine and colours/lighting and shadows is all good. I like your style and I think it works well here. Really I can't think of anything to criticize.
I suppose the only thing I can think of is really trying to make it as clear as possible for the reader. This page doesn't really have any trouble with it, so its mostly just a thought for future pages.
Anyhow, nice work Asia :P I like it and can't wait to see the next page :)

Macid was very well done, it's among my favorites of your work now! Besides mine of course, which is always awesome :P

Oh well thanks a lot. The next page is better in terms of layout and should be quite fun. Good to know that you like it.
I've almost finished sorting out the comic webpage, i'll talk about that later.

You just keep getting better and better. I still love how you do so much and you're so willing to try new things. : 3
-
Aw thanks. I do so much simply because I dont do anything else (I dont even write much. I should be doing way more of that... though i guess my comic counts as writing... kinda) And yes, new things are great, though i do wish I would do more. Things I would never normally do. I have a lot of failed experiments that never see the light of day, because I try them and it just turns out so badly.
anyway here's another picture.

The left arm seems skinny compared to the raised one, and is a bit awkward hiding like that, but otherwise is a nice picture. I love Asia's big alien eyes and feminine thighs (I mean it, I think it's really unique...unless it's not supposed to be like that XD) Cool!
-
Yeah the left arm was always way too thin. I guess I just got lazy with that, or I thought "hey, asia's got thin arms, so it's okay." Whatever, I dont make the same mistake twice :P And the hiding is supposed to be in that star trekky kind of way of putting your hands behind your back. It does look awkward in this, but again, laziness :P
But yes, his eyes and his thighs are supposed to be like that. They're his best features :P

Again, wicked cool. I will admit I didn't know what was going on in the full view at first but when I made it smaller I instantly saw myself. It's really awesome and I love how you captured me so well!
Thank you.
-
Yay you like it.
And yeah i was afraid that you wouldn't be able to see what was going on. There's a lot of stuff piled on top of eachother and alot of loose lines. Good to see it wasn't TOO much of an issue :)
anyway, new picture

I really like the effects here, as well as the whole pose, lighting, all of it is pretty dang cool.
To crit a few things: I would adjust the eye, turn it up a little bit, and make it narrower. Right now it seems to be too big and is looking straight on, which isn't entirely right for the way the head is turned.
The left arm, the one in the air, is short and thin compared to the body and especially compared to the other arm. If the arms were dropped to hang alongside each other, it would be clear that they were way different sizes. The other arm is great however.
Maybe you were going for perspective with the left arm, and if you were, I would suggest making the arm looking more bent, bringing the forearm forward and tips of the fingers either forward or back but still having them be smaller, if that makes any sense. Right now I don't see the perspective so it just looks like a really small arm.
Sorry if I sound like a real critic haha, I'm just trying to help. Really really love your art though! You're getting really good.
-
I knew it, i knew it, i knew it. there was so much wrong with that.
Anyway, yes, redone, have another look :D
-
Def looks better, I think you fixed it pretty well. ^ _ ^
-
Very nice ^_^
You always manage to get a great sense of motion into your art and this is no exception :P
-
Yay ah fixed it
and heck yeah there's motion :P thanks kitt and katie
anyway, new thing, not as good.....

Neat. Getting a picture to look good with a lot of black in it is difficult, but you pulled it off well :)

You have no idea how hard it was :P
but anyway, after a little while, it's time for a change of pace.
