Few take reptiles and their care more serious then I do. When I lost my job and was low on cash I sold my 360, PS3, DSi and all my movies in order to buy him some bugs to eat while his Roach colony got off the ground.

I would probably do the same, I mean I can't watch an animal die off like that, if in the end I couldn't afford it I would definitely make sure I could find someone who could take care of my pet.

Pet care is a big responsibility. I'd sleep in the dirt if it meant he'd be happy. I don't condone pet owners who put material possessions and commodities come before that of a living breathing animal who relies on them. Reptile care in particular is a very involved hobby and an expensive one at that. Almost anything good for them has to be specially ordered or built. if you can't give them the care they need do not buy one

Nothing in the world angers me as much as seeing animals mistreated. I actually was forced to stop going to pet smart just because of how badly some of their reptiles were cared for. (Particularly the lil beardies)

Oh yes! Those chain pet stores are just awful with exotic pets! They'll give you the worst advice to care for anything, several times we'll have to come back because the pets they give have some sort of disease from improper care or bad food and insufficient lighting. Very often 3 out of 5 of the fish we buy from there will be dead in a few days because they didn't have the water at the correct pH or some sort of detail they overlooked because of how minimal their attention is on the pets individually.
