To be honest I wouldnt be surprised if swine flu isnt exactly new, its probably been around before and didnt get much hype. The problem with all this is that the regular normal flu kills people all the time but schools arent shut down when there is an outbreak of a regular flu. I have the flu right now, not swine flu (or at least I dont think so) since it hasnt gotten to my area yet.
The swine flu is a flu, nothing really special so what if pigs can get it? Really what difference does it make?

There is no vaccine for the swine flu but there is for normal influenza. Against influenza, we have a few protective measures. Against the swine flu, we have nothing. It's like how people can get a regular fever but they can also get scarlet fever. Huge difference in the amount of fatalities for those.

Yea. I'm not like "OMG! SWINE FLU! :shokced:" But I do understand that its a bit more serious than a regular flu because of the lack of vaccination. I'm not gonna go around wearing a mask, or avoid anyone who sneezes, but I try to wash my hands before I eat or find some hand sanatizer. You know, little things. YOU CAN'T GET IT FROM EATING PORK! grr

I'm not worried about the swine flu. But I'm taking better care of my health and try not to spread germs.

True Wolfgang. I was just sick on Friday. I had a REALLY high fever, and some strange dreams... Well, what I'm saying is that its horrible to be sick, so people should try to stay well.
