Only advice I can give is to look for someone else who has the equipment/money, and who also wants to work on some short films. Then try to work on it together.

Obviously you will have less creative control, but hey, you will be able to do something at least, and you will also have an extra pair of hands while your working on it.

I don't know anyone who wants to make short films, not to mention I'm in a poor town, so the possibility of finding someone with enough money to buy thousands upon thousands of pounds worth of equipment and to live is quite low.
