I am currently expressing how annoyed i am at my current wealth, or rather the lack of any said wealth.
It has occurred to me that creating a portfolio of short films in order to give me a foothold in a career in directing will be near impossible due to the sheer fact that it will take me over six years of saving up in order to buy most of the equipment necessary to make a short film that looks visually and sounds audibly appealing with competent editing. Ergo, i will be a failure due to the fact that I'm poor and will be unable to get out of that financial cesspool without a job, which will be hard to get due to the fact that all of my grades are that of C and below. Furthermore, the only 'skills' (if one would call them that) i have are all involved with films or the analysis of films.

Thus, I'm skewed.

Only advice I can give is to look for someone else who has the equipment/money, and who also wants to work on some short films. Then try to work on it together.

Obviously you will have less creative control, but hey, you will be able to do something at least, and you will also have an extra pair of hands while your working on it.
