In the year 2020, the world was used as a testing ground for a new type of weapon. Though at least a fourth of the world was saved via testing bunkers, most were left to face the brunt of the weapon's destructive capability.
In the year 2120, the world's populace was allowed to return to the near-barren wasteland the world had become. Now populated by horrifying monstrous creatures, massive defensive walls were erected around the testing bunkers, and cities were created inside the walls. The Testers, the ones who survived in the test bunkers, developed gear designed to help maneuver around the wasteland and for fighting against the mutants.
Mark 0 Survival Gears were simple exo-suits, increasing one's capacity for movement and carry weight.
Mark 1 Survival Gears were more advanced suits, standing around 7' tall, equipped with high-caliber assault cannons, rocket pods, jump jets and enough power for several weeks.
Mark 2 Survival Mecha were the final design. Standing at 15' tall, these giant mechs were designed to deal with Megas. With heavy cannons, heavy miniguns, giant swords and enough firepower to level half of Chicago, these mechs have enough power to last months on high-load settings.
Outside the walls, creatures mutated beyond recognition lived in constant fear, from both the survivor groups and the unlucky few who survived the initial blast. These 'survivors', known as Megas, vary from unnaturally tall (around 8~10 feet tall) to grotesquely massive (10+ meters).
(In this RP, you can choose to be either the Testers (descendants of those who survived in the testing bunkers ), a Waster (someone who left the bunkers and set out to survive in the wasteland), or one of the huge Megas.)
