My fursona is from a land similar to the Arctic circle, and one of the last who descend from a tribe of aboriginal foxes. Of course, her blood isn't pure, but enough that she was taught the culture and religion.

Two yes votes is enough for me! I'll probably start the thread this weekend.
What kind of thread would it be, may I inquire?
Here it is.

Seems so. Not many posted in it, and it was quite some time ago. I would revamp it, but I'm sceptical that I wouldn't get a note from the mods for resurrecting "dead" threads  X3

Currently working on a total of two species (of both these I made my own characters from, will hopefully be able to soon show my new character), with different home planets, but their religion stems from the same principle/origin.

My fursona is a much more masculine version of myself pretty much.

He lives in Haven City which is part of a continent I haven't thought up a name for yet.  It is a modern metropolis with a rain forest/tropical "theme", I guess you would say.  It is much more peaceful than our modern world.  The same technology still exists, but there hasn't been any sort of military conflict in centuries.  For the most part it is almost a Star Trek-style utopian society.  They have basically evolved beyond armed conflict and realize the need to take care of their world, so everything they create is "clean" in some way, even their currency is like modern bills, but it is a plastic polymer that is made from plant matter and is 100% biodegradable.

They are also a much more open-minded and caring society.  They are accepting of all sexual orientations and gender identities and anything in-between.  They are also a fairly socialist society with things like free universal healthcare.

Originally Calun Vampyrum was straight up Eastern European themed. Then, upon his revamping (no pun intended), I added a little bit of influence from certain tribal cultures, even though he is still more-so based around pagan-era-Poland, with influence from post-Christian Poland. Personality and beliefs are taken from my mom's culture mostly (Yaqui, pre-Christian).

So a kind of blend, but obviously in a fantasy setting, since I want him to stay in the realm of the fantastic, and not the real world. :)

Aurelia is Siberian, born in Siberia like me.
If she's somewhere that isn't the real world, she just says she's from somewhere cold.

I have an extensive sci-fi setting built up around my character, as I'm currently trying to write a novel with him as one of the main characters.
It has a commonwealth of many worlds and species that was devastated in a war against an Empire. The setting has a lot of aspects to it, many of which I'm still exploring. It's quite a high-tech setting, which also has some magical elements blended into the technology. It's inspired and has shout-outs to a lot of other things within it, but I'm trying to keep it it's own thing as well.
Prior to the war, things were pretty utopian; there were some bad elements of course since it's a society of many cultures and people so crimes and such still happened, but overall it was a good place.
After 'the fall', things have got a bit tougher, as much of the infrastructure and government has been devastated, and it's slowly rebuilding in new ways. It could go a lot of ways, and there are a lot of aspects to it - there's dangerous places, but there are also good and caring people and places too.

My sona's live in a realm between space and time created by Yog Sothoth as a sort of Elder God den. Time and region would depend on what needs attending to in the multiverse. The realm itself is an endless ocean of blood and storms that revolve around a great obsidian tower wreathed in flame. As for religion the undead there follow my will though ultimately we in turn serve the will of the Elder Gods and occasionally Great Old Ones.

Bred in a top-secret Weyland-Yutani research facility on LV-224, the specimen code-named "Project Zeta" was believed to be the first-ever successful attempt to create a subservient xenomorphic biological weapon. In the early days of the project, the then-unmarked test subject displayed intelligence of such a degree that it was deemed 'the benchmark of lethal efficiency', even among its own siblings. It was chosen to take part in numerous conditioning tests to determine its receptiveness to verbal, physical and chemical-based commands - all of which it passed with flying colors. However, after six months of complacency, Zeta eventually found an opportunity to exploit its newfound freedom and staged an outbreak. Zeta's unusually detailed understanding of the facility's layout only worsened the infestation, as what had historically occurred over one or two days took only a few hours. In record time a new hive had been formed, with the total number of xenomorph specimens already numbering in the hundreds.

Zeta remains on LV-224 to this day, working tirelessly to protect its Queen from any and all adversaries.
