"In the books did you find anything about how did the brothers learn to control their powers? We know the orb supresses them, but I guess they weren't using it the entire life" I ask Lenna.

[Tina]

(Its fine.)

"...hold on Kirion you are plenty of help." I say feeling bad for you. It did feel like you had been slightly ignored.

[HellEye]

(so I guess Kirion is MIA...)
"yes, I'm sure your help will prove invaluable countless times Kirion."

His ears flicker at the reassuring comments, and his little smile quickly reforms as he works his way into another cookie - this time checking to make sure nobody else is reaching for it.

[Tina]

Lenna smiles for a moment but that fades as she gets back on topic.
"Apparently the brothers had to go through a metamorphosis in order to control their powers...but one of them went insane after it."

[HellEye]

"we don't want that happening to you... Any information about the metamorphosis anywhere? Any detail might help" I ask and wait for the response, thinking about our next step.

[Tina]

I see Taelius knocking at my door and wave to him.
"We are over here Taelius." I say and turn to HE.
"Apparently darkness had surrounded both of them and slowly changed their bodies. The umbreon was saved though by his wife who had talked him through the whole thing, keeping his consciousness from falling into the Darkness. The espeon had no such luck."

Kirion's ears remain perked up listening to the conversation, but he has also brought one of the smaller books he borrowed and is quietly reading it to himself.

[HellEye]

I wave to Tealius and continue
"It's something. We know that the Darkness will try to make you insane and that we'll all have to be there and try to keep your mind away from it. At least we know what we're fighting."

"I-I've seen the dark consume other Treeborn before - but those cases were never lifelong marks" he shrinks back a bit "At least I hope not..."

[Tina]

"Yeah...but this is way different." I say and before handing over the book I show everyone a picture of the brothers after the metamorphosis. Their bodies were entirely made of shadow with red glowing eyes.

[HellEye]

"I'm not an expert on treeborn but I'd guess from what you said earlier that your kind is made from light itself. It can be corrupted much easily, normal body resists it to some degree" I answer to Kirion and look at the picture
"I don't know what to say. I expected much smaller changes. I guess the word metamorphosis fits even better now. Any ideas on how to save you from that?"
