Me neither honestly. It makes you think: would anthros be self conscious about their privates like we are?

That's a cultural thing. Not all humans are even self-conscious about that stuff. There's plenty of human tribes (mainly in South America for some reason) where nudity is just normal.

A lot of Europe is this way, specifically Scandinavia, Iceland, Finland, Germany, Spain, I think Greece and Hungary, as well. Not so much in Eastern Europe but its not necessarily banned in Russia (afaik).

You are right it is a cultural thing. We don't really know how humans would have evolved differently because we don't have any other path to compare to, but the transition from clothes being a nice thing for expression and to express cultural values to something you MUST have or it is shameful is not something that HAS to be evolved. It is within perfect thought to think that one could wear clothes and not have any sort of sexual or shameful mentality attached to not, much like how you or I could wear clothes that are not "in style" according to all those magazines but we are not kicked out of our worlds for it nor are we stared at weirdly. It is just a part of life.

I like both, and I draw both. I always figured it wasn't something necessary for furs, but assumed that some prefer to be covered more, and others use it for personal expression.  ^_^

Clothing because I don't think anyone would want to see a person such as myself walking around butt naked. It'd be too much to bare.

Everyone has the body for it, that's the beauty of true naturism. It matters not how attractive you are!

D-Do people still wear these... "clothes"?

Jokes aside, I like clothes on furs, adds another layer of creativity and personalization. Then again, the lack of clothes (or just lack of pants, really) of older cartoons worked rather well. Idunno there's arguments for both sides!
I think peanut butter is pretty cool.

I like cloths on furries because of the way society portrays us. I mean, if I was showing somebody some furry art and the character wasn't wearing clothing, people would automatically say it's porn. I've seen it happen...

I'm sure they'd say the same thing if it was a naked human.

I've heard people say that clothes give your fur a sense if style. But what about intricate fur patterns and colors? That's another way of giving style to a fursona.

As an artist, I used to not give Armonia clothes. It made me feel like she was more animalistic, which is how I wanted her. But after a few discouraging words, I placed her in dresses and it eventually seemed right. I have drawn my sonas without clothes, and sometimes that's just because I'm lazy or I just really feel like they shouldn't wear them.
Personally, I don't mind if furs don't wear clothes or not. Just as long as nothing "intimate" is showing, if you catch my drift.  :/ The option of clothing is entirely up to the person deciding on the fursona.
