I agree with Syn. Having fur is different from just bare skin. In a sense you're not technically naked. Save for the exposed stuff which I think would be covered or hidden in some way. Either by clothes or fur.

Again, I think it depends on the species. My reptilian characters tend to kick it in the nude.

I feel like it looks best, when fursonas wear clothes. However, that's only in the case of anthros. Feral forms can be as naked as they want, in my opinion.

It makes not much difference to me one way or another ("private" parts exposed or not)

Me neither honestly. It makes you think: would anthros be self conscious about their privates like we are?

That's a cultural thing. Not all humans are even self-conscious about that stuff. There's plenty of human tribes (mainly in South America for some reason) where nudity is just normal.

I like it when the animal doesn't wear clothes but sometimes I also like clothes. Well, it should just look good and I'm a fan if native american clothes, clothes of the middle age and celtic ones. Modern clothes aren't so beautiful and comfortable. So I don't like them very much.

You see: I like both and it depends on the kind of clothes.

I feel like it makes them look more "human" or "civilized." I've always thought they looked weird with just fur.

This should summarize my view to an extent. Of course, there's also the idea that I just like using clothes as a manner of self-expression, and I'd gather that anthros, if exposed to clothing, would probably be inclined to wear them for just that reason as well. But, in the case of the cold-blooded and/or hairless, they would use them for many of the same reasons a human would. Personally, I think it'd all be up to the cultural influences, environment and exposure that would dictate their propensity to dress themselves. One has to consider that they would form cultures just like we did, and let's be frank here: no amount of fur would totally hide everything or keep them totally insulated and warm in every situation. Clothe-wearing habits would develop somewhere along the line.

That said, that's how I use clothing in my headcanons. Transference of a few human societal traits and unique twists to suit the species. Some have special garments while others have the same clothes that you and I have. For instance, dragons: their shirts and tops have straps or buttons with openings in the back for wings. Unless the wings are vestigial, they attach around the bottom, near the buttocks, so the whole wing fits. Making holes in your wings at birth just to fit a shirt would probably suck and limit the ability to fly properly.

I overanalyze things, I think.

I'm fine with it. If it where's cloths or not. Despite the fact that my fursona wears clothing, wearing fabric on top of fur can't be quite comfortable. Plus I also think its fine as long as there isn't porn.

I much prefer furries with clothes. It adds to their character, I think. You'd never know my fursona was a warlord/fighter were she not wearing armor. It's much easier to tell personality too, much like with real people.

I don't have an issue with naked furries, but clothes can add a lot.

I like how clothes and armor look on furries, and it better fits my character.
