-----Prologue-----
October 9th, 2010: Meteorite spotted entering system. Estimated time of impact: December 21st, 2012.
December 21st, 2012: Humans and dragons alike are out partying, giving one last hoorah before the end of the world, as predicted by the end of the Mayan calender. At approximately 11:57PM, the previously sighted meteorite impacts Earth. Within a week after the impact, a good portion of Central Europe goes dark without explanation.
February, 2013: Most of the countries in Europe cease communications with other nations. The UN calls for a meeting and comes to the conclusion that a war may ensue. With whom, the UN couldn't decide on. Regardless, they mobilize forces as a defense against any possible incursion.
April, 2013: All of Europe suddenly goes dark. Sporadic reports of "zombies" being created by use of a virus gets out. UN calls for another meeting and begins a quarantine of the Eurasian continent; no aircraft or ships were allowed to leave the region.
August, 2013: Northen Africa becomes infected with the now named "A1" virus, a virus only transmitted through injurious contact (cuts, gashes, anything that draws blood). All contact with the Asian mainland stops with a final message confirming the original "zombie" reports.
October, 2013: Africa falls to the virus. A new air-born strand of the virus is dicovered, dubbed "A2". This strand is known to be only a local strand, dying in quick time if left in open air for too long.
January, 2014: Hawaii falls to the virus. North and South American countries band together, forming the "American Coalition", in an attempted to isolate themselves from the virus.
June, 2014: The Bering Straits becomes overrun. Parts of South America also fall. The American Coalition centralizes the new quarantine borders around the North and South American mainlands. Anyone that was left outside the new borders were given no additional assistance to combat the zombiefied humans and dragons.
July, 2014: Virus-controlled victims forced back Coalition forces. Coalition forces setup "Alamo" points in key areas in the mainland for a last stand attempt. A third strand of the virus is dicovered, named "A3". This strand can last for days out in the open air, but the transformation process is extended, making the host prone to mutation.
September 18th, 2014: The last human/dragon settlement falls victim to the virus. Aside from dragons, none are presumed completely immune prior to the Fall.
-----Plot-----
It's three days after the Fall. You and a very select group of others are the only ones immune to the airborn strand, aside from the dragons, who are naturally immune to the A2 and A3 viruses. You've all found out about a settlement in a city on the eastern seaboard of the North American continent, and have set out to try to find it. You must find each other, band together, and survive long enough to re-populate. You have dragons to help you do this, but, to survive, you must watch each other's backs and try to get along to make it another day.
-----Rules-----
My rules are fairly simple and are not prone to change unless successfully challenged by another user, moderator, or should I deem it necessary for an update.
1: Power-playing and god modding will NOT be tolerated.
2: There is NO cure for the virus. DO NOT hint at one. MAGIC WILL NOT REMOVE THE VIRUS. However, hinting at a survivor settlement is acceptable.
3: ...Which bring in the rule that, in spite the fact that I don't believe in it, magic is allowed, but there is a drawback if the user becomes infected (please reference "Infection Stages" for more info on this matter).
4: Your character(s) are fully permitted to use anything they can get their hands (...or paws, which ever your character(s) are...), but bare in mind, this starts off three days after the Fall, so certain technologies would not work. With that in mind, DON'T GO OVER-KILL WITH WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT (MEANING NO NUKES)!!! Try to make it realistic, for the sake of the RP.
5: Human/dragon hybrids are allowed.
6: If your characters have a curse or some sort of transformation ability, SPECIFY IT IN THE CHARACTER SHEET!!! IF YOU DON'T, THEN YOUR CHARACTER WON'T HAVE THE ABILITY!!!
7: Minimum of two to three sentences per post, so please be descriptive.
8: KEEP IRRELEVANT DATA AND ACTIONS TO A MINIMUM!!! We've had a spamming problem before, so please make sure you do not continually post unnecessary actions and interactions while the majority of the users are offline.
9: Please use correct grammar and spelling as much as possible. If you are using a computer, I'd recommend getting Google Chrome for it's built-in spell checker.
10: Please try to keep foul language and descriptions to a PG-rated level; this is a family forum site, after all.
11: All other rules stated by the board moderators apply.

-----Infection Stages-----
These stages will start the same for both human and dragon, but that as far as similarities will get.
Injury
Stage 1: Initial injury will look like a normal cut or scratch. Bleeding will form a scab over time, and the surrounding skin/scales will start to lose color.
Stage 2 (Human): Skin will lose color and become almost white; seemingly constant loss of energy; zombies will start to ignore infected; slight loss in social skills; slight increase in aggression; host will no longer be able to use magic.--->
Stage 2 (Dragon): Scales start to look almost silvery in color; scab will start to fester; zombies will start to ignore infected; slight loss in motor skills (i.e.: control over tail, paws, neck, ect.) and social skills; slight increase in aggression; fire breathing abilities will be replaced with vomiting on every attempt; host will no longer be able to use magic.
Stage 3 (final stage for Human): Skin on body will look almost decayed gray; maximum aggression towards anything living; complete loss in social skills.--->
Stage 3 (Dragon): Scales will take on a gun-metal color; scab will blacken; increased aggression and loss of social skills; decreased motor control skills.
Stage 4 (final stage for Dragon): Scales will be next to a black color; complete loss in social skills; maximum aggression towards anything living; slight increase in motor skills.
Ingestion
Stage 1: Symptoms will take on the same symptoms of food poisoning (vomiting, nausea, headaches, ect.), but will be longer lasting.
Stage 2 (Humans & Dragons): Both races will experience pain fits from time to time; both races will be tired almost all the times; virus tends to cause a mutation to the host at this point (mutation is up to the user); both races that use magic will no longer be able to after this point.--->
Stage 2 (Human): Skin color will stay pale almost all the time; slight loss in social skills.--->
Stage 2 (Dragon): Dragon will prefer to stay curled up in a ball to prevent pain fits; host's fire breathing abilities will be replaced with vomiting with every attempt; slight loss in social skills and motor controls; slight increase in aggression.
Stage 3 (final stage for Human): Same applies with ingestion as with injury.--->
Stage 3 (Dragon): Pain fits will intensify two-fold and happen more often, even with no activity; scales will take on a dark gray color; increase loss in social skills and motor control; mutation to body may intensify; increased aggression.
Stage 4 (final stage for Dragon): Same applies with ingestion as with injury.
Again, if you character eats anything that has a strand of the virus, then you are allowed to give one mutation of your choice, but try not to go crazy over it.
