You can have a suit of armor, but many knights could not afford the luxury of owning a horse.  Horseless knights among them all were pretty much the nerds vs the jocks.  For lack of better connection...  The Knights of Templar actually had two riders per horse to symbolize their poverty, as they were highly Christian.

And... I frekkin love medieval history.  I took a course in it... and I loved every minute of it.  Ask me a question!  :D
