When I was 7 years old, watching Tom and Jerry, and playing Crash bandicoot, I loved to think and imagine myself in an animal body (Anthro), was so funny and entertaining haha xD, until later, I began to look about it and saw that i was not the only. And, the art! I love drawing,! one of the other reasons I joined was because of the art

Hmm, I guess It has always been inside of me. I've always loved animals and have spent many hours chatting it up with all sorts. (Even though they couldn't talk back.) I remember seeing something about it on TV and since then it has been engraved in my head. But everyone around me that was watching the show made so many nasty comments about it, I just went along with it. Recently though, I was online secretly looking at it all and oooing and ahhhing over it. Then I realized i'm not the only one, and that its okay. And I felt such a big weight come off me. Then I got to work on creating my fursona.

The funny part is...I've been living a alternative lifestyle for years..and I hear everyone say I've always been like this or always knew...I've never felt that way. But when I said I was a furry...I can 100% honestly say...when I think back...I've always been a furry. And I couldn't be happier.

Myself. I guess I have always had the seed of being one, but until about 2 years back it was pretty dormant. I just realized I have been one of two years (approx) a couple months back. Two years ago was when I started writing, and collaborating with a friend about a large multiverse spanning fiction.

I guess the seed though has been there from when I first played games with my cousin(using our imagination) where we had powers to become things from different types, always having at least 2 animals, I never really let that part of my mind slide away and it has just come back recently.

Well, I have always found a liking to anthros since I was little, I just never really knew other people liked it. I was always into that kind of stuff, I loved Brian Jaques books, I like making drawings of them and playing video games that had them. I always just thought I was a weird kid that nobody would understand. Then like a year ago I beleive I found out what a furry was and looked around I thought "Hey I one of those" and so I lurked around, found this forum, and here I am.

This is a hard question to answer, I gave a short answer in my introduction if you want to read that one but ill try and make this as in-deff as possible.
I watch tv lik others, talk to friends and such,the normal. There is this one girl I have known for four years now and she is heavy in anime and art. She would come to lunch every day with her drawing pad and one day I asked to see her art, so she does and I see all the pictures she drew.(nekos mostly)
This got me interested so I ask about it and she says she watches anime, I ask what show, She offers I watch Spice and Wolf. Being a good friend even through the doubt I look on TV and YouTube and start watching it. As im a few episdes in I cant help but be attracted to Holo(Fox Neko in Spice and Wolf) As I keep watching there where parts of the show that had above waist nudity witch im not gon lie, was arousing. So being said that is where my interests's peaked. After that it was all UP hill from there.   I haven told anyone of my interests and im not sure what they will all think, so I decided to join a forum to talk about thies kinds of things wih other people who will share my feelings and not shun me, kinda like.

And just recentely I think i became a broney, but thats another story for another time, ill tell but not right now. Still iffy on my own feeling about it >.<

Ever since the third grade, I can remember being absolutely obsessed with large canines, especially wolves. I drew them non stop, and when I would get together with the younger kids, we would act like animals x3 Eventually, the other kids grew out of these games, yet I never did. I couldn't stop wanting to act goofy like that and play around. Of course, to remain "normal", I would suppress those urges. I kept drawing and writing about wolves, and I still do to this day. I would RP animals online, and make wolf masks, and all that fun stuff.

One day, my uncle 'caught' me drawing a wolf. "Oh, you're going to be a furry one day." I had heard about furries before, but mainly the bad side of the fandom, so naturally I denied it. Then I got into this online site with fantasy wolves and all that, and it just slowly developed. I don't remember the actual point where I knew I was furry because it just gradually happened. But here I am now I've been furry for about...a year? Maybe a bit more. But now I'm actually seeking out people with the same interests as I and building a fursuit of my fursona Fun stuff!

When i was a kid and my friends and i would play house, the kids always wanted me to be the baby cuz i was always so little, but i always wanted to be  a monkey lol, but they would say "nobody has a pet monkey!" so then i would compromise with a "monkeydog."


anyway i've always been drawing. so through elementary school i was drawing snakes and dinosaurs, then i escalated to dogs, and they had personalities and i named them. then i drew a dog and a cat standing up and wearing clothes.



And then somehow i came across something called "Furcadia." i know someone else here mentioned it. it was so exciting. i played it for years. I think i was about 12 when i discovered it. I was totally obsessed about drawing my furcadia fursona.


Then i played IMVU as one of those weird furry human things.


FINALLY i discovered Second Life. I've been playing that for the last 3.5 years or so. I didn't stay human for long xD. Then my mate Switch really made me super keen to my fur side, so that's pretty much solidified it!


Over the years i've discovered that i'm not only a canine, but i'm really a domestic pet. i always said i was a wolf, but i've begun the process of learning what my identity really is.

I'd knew about it all for a while and liked it, never thought of it too much. Until a week or so ago I got my old PS3 out and played with old friends, one was now obviously a furry (I didn't know what a furry was last time I played on PS3), in the game (LittleBigPlanet) he had created a LOT of furry art . So I asked him if he was one, he got all offensive until I told him I'm not sure if I'm one too. So that went well. Now recently I've been thinking about it and found myself passionate (not sexually) about it. Found myself being a fox, not sure what kind yet though.... 

But I seriously don't know how to tell my parents, they don't even know a Furry is ! My brother will be easier to tell, he's open minded, he thinks it's weird but won't judge overly .

i personally found it easier to not tell any family that way i wouldnt have to go through the trouble of explaining things :p but if u really wanna tell them maybe have them read the FAQ part that says 'what is a furry' good luck
