OOOOOHH!!!   I thought you meant AnthroCon...  I live in Pennsylvania, but on the wrong side of the state...  West Philadelphia can be fun, but not if there aren't any furries...    :'(

What exactly is normality?  It's hard for a line to be drawn today...

Well, we can talk about normality until the cows come home. But then again, what are cows?

Well, I suppose I got sucked in at a childhood state by Calvin and Hobbes. Been reading the comic since I was 2. I also owned at least 2 pets at any one time. Cat, or dog. But I loved the comic not for it's use of animals (Hobbes is a stuffed tiger, as well as being a living tiger that Calvin, a 6-year-old often has deep conversations, or silly childhood games with.) But simply because it was great. However, it got me into comics, which would lead me here.

Surprisingly, it was not me but my greatest friend that got sucked into Redwall at a young age. 'Furry' literature was never something I got into, save for the Narnia series.

Then, one day, I was posting a blog about friendship and searched online about it, looking for a google image to complement it. And in the end, I stumbled upon a great anology in the form of a comic page, from the comic 'Gene Catlow.' It was a furry anthro comic that's been around for a long time. And I greatly enjoyed it, and found the website itself. I read the archives, and thought it was great. About up until then, I was somewhat anti-furry, and thought it was downright weird, though I understood why people liked it.

It would take about a year or more before I came here, as I read more comics, such as 'Lackadaisy' and recently 'Jack'. All of which led to my inevitable search for a furry forum. About a month ago, I eventually decided on a Squirrel. I drew my avatar as I was registering on the board, then edited it a few times in paint and photoshop to get it to the right size and color levels.

I became a furry before I know that that called a Furry.

Someday in the past the first step. I saw something like 2 years ago the movie "Brother Bear" (I love animation (or is this cartoon) for children!)
At this moment I hate a very big problem (can I say it I hope so) with my sexuality, ****** And this wasn't the normal kind of!
So I go away from the human-thinking-platform. And change to the Bear-thinking-platform. It works a little bit and I had can think easier.

Like a Half year later I change to a Raccoon. I always believe I was a Animal. The good thing was that I know that animals would watch TV and do something other like humans if they can^^.

****** ^^. :bubbles:
But what can I do it is the truth!
 O:)

Okay, tis is a realy cruel story but besides if I never have this depended, I'm really sure that makes no thing change. It only has come later!

If this thread is to dirty please write it in a other way sdmins. I'm sorry I even don't know enough worts to describe it in a other way. Already?
Thank you!

My ex is paying for me to go to next year's Akon so ha! =D

And my furry-ness started when I was 5-6. I always loved animals and loved acting like them, and when I found out about the game "Habbo Hotel," I got to RP as one. (Don't laugh at my horrible choice of gaming.) Then one of my friends told be about a game called "Furcadia" where everyone was an animal. I suddenly got hooked, Playing everyday for about a year. During that time I found FF. And now here I am. =D

I think that I always was furry, it was rather more a matter of realizing what I was.  I used to think that I was the only one heavily into animal identification until discovering via the internet that there were others like myself, and that gave me a name for what I was and a realization that it was OK to be furry...   omg

I got here because of my friend Sam who's my mate on here. She dragged me here and I wasn't sure if I was going to like the place or not. I wasn't going to just ignore her and not try it out at least though. So I came here and after a while I realized that animals are just my thing and that was probably why the RW series that a few people have mentioned is probably one of my favorite books/series.

I loved pretending to be animals when I was younger (I especially liked being Pokémon) though they would always be er.."feral".. or so I guess the word is...and I'd make up random little stories to play out. I started to forget about that stuff when I got into high school and then three years later I met Kuro_okami and she introduced the concept of anthropomorphic animals and I just had to get in on it. Plus it just looked like so much fun  =3
