Shadow shouted and hurled a fistful of ice shards at the raptor, almost jumping to his feet. "If you so much as THINK of killing the fox, your last moments will be the most excruciating pain you can possibly imagine!" His claws glowed in that whispy green fire that had nearly killed Renard earlier, and although another such attack would likely kill him, so be it.

Tezztor puffed and snarled at Shadow, dismissing his threats. "If I had thought to kill him, he'd already be dead. Only reason staying my talons is that my quarry cannot fight back. No sport in it." he said as he threw the jewel to Shadow. "Go ahead banish the demon and restore your friend, know that their is always a price for salvation"

"Speak to someone else of salvation..." He placed the jewel on Simels chest and recited a brief incantation, all the while praying to every pagan diety he could remember. Please let this work...

Simel felt an extreme heat flare through his body, repacing the cold. He felt every splinter of bone in his bdy fly to where they belonged. His skin burned where it healed and all through it his eyes never left Shadows. He gasped for breath through a still sore throat and groaned in pain. "shadow, help me to my chamber." He breathed before his world turned black.

Fifteen years to the day after both dragon and demon had been banished. The bounty hunter Tezztor was taken in as Top knight to King Simel. His son, young Prince Thomas was growing closer and closer to his childhood friend Serous. The head mage Shadow never left the king side. The kingdom was once again happy. Wealth was experienced by all for the first time in twenty years almost.

(chapter three, invading armies, anyone?)
