I would suggest to search for patterns online, practise with fabrics before working on the actual material of faux fur.

One pattern option has pockets in the paws, and the ear style is changeable. I would suggest some interfacing inside the ears to hold them up a bit better, if you can. Ironing it to the fleece or something
It's easy to follow as long as you know basic sewing terms
