Moods
« on: July 10, 2016, 04:10:21 PM »
Dependent on the music i am listening to depends on my mood, but the same this in reverse dependent on my mood depends on the music i want to listen to. Currently i am listening to some chill music cause i want to, because i am tired. Right now i am listening to Oh wonders - all we do. If i am sad or upset i listen to chill music as well, mad i listen to metal, if i am happy, i listen to dance music. ext What music do you listen to, in what moods?

Oftentimes I listen to music to change my mood. If I want to relax and mellow out, I actually listen to thrash metal. No joke. Few things calm me down like that. I can focus on the music in a different way though and use the same songs to pump me up. Really depends on what I need.

I like listening to mellow electronic music though when I am trying to get things done. Ambient techno or 80's synthesizer really helps me be productive at times.

Either I listen to Stellardrone to relax or to Jan Hammer to describe how I feel.
This song is great to just sit back and work

I listen to upbeat music, it helps me think. I use my creativeness the most and o need upbeat music for it. I listen to heavy metal whenever someone makes me mad.

I usually listen to calming stuff whenever I'm doing something because I can tend to get hyper, but when I'm listening to music just to listen to music I usually listen to heavy dubstep, because I'm addicted to that beat drop tho.

Nice, I'm about the same way (though I rarely listen to thrash specifically). I like listening to "angry" music when I'm pissed off to help me calm down. It's as if the music is venting out my anger for me. Listening to calming music during those times makes me more irritated for some reason.

For me it isn't so much the lyrics or the fact that the music is "angry." The key, rhythm, and pacing of thrash for me has some sort of unusual calming effect where I can just chill out as I listen to it. A lot of thrash is in the key of e-flat minor, for instance, which happens to be my absolute favorite and always mellows me out regardless of genre.

Eh, I didn't mean the lyrics or literally angry music. I just used a simple term to get the point across.

This thread will never die! XD
I've actually stopped listening to dubstep, and started listening to random rock stations because I'm too unconfident to find my own music. Ever since then though, I've calmed down a lot and started to be a lot less aggravating to people.

To me it's all very simple...

Sad - Metal
Happy - Metal
Mad - Metal
Depressed - Metal
Tired - Metal
Metal? Metal.

It's all metal. Metal metal metal. I've been listening to metal for 3 years now, and somehow I haven't grew tired of it. I mostly listen to songs made by Raubtier, with a few by Sabaton and Amon Amarth. That's all I've been listening to for the past three years haha  XD
