I don't really know what to say, or rather, type.

I'm brand new.

To the forum...

and, to this entire culture.

I'm guessing no one will read this, as no one ever pays attention to any online accounts I create. Well, if not to communicate with others...I'll just talk to myself.

Where to begin...my old friend. They were a furry. They got me interested in it. I loved anthropomorphic animals before I knew what a furry was. So...I leaped right in. I was planning to have fun with my friend. But, they're gone, now. To where? I may never know. I miss them, and what reminds me of them the most...? Furries. They'd wanted me to be one but, I'm afraid I don't really know how.

I don't know what it is to be accepted.

I don't understand how others get accepted, and how I do not.

I'm very far from weird. I can never attain 'normal', nor weird. I'm in a league of my own.

My friend...she was the only one who was a furry. No one else is, or was.

So...I ask one thing.

If anyone would be kind enough, to show me the ropes, mentor me, do whatever you could to teach me how to be a furry...and possibly be accepted by its intriguing culture?

How to be accepted you ask? Just say hi and have a chat once in a while. Trust me, We're glad you joined the fandom because we always love to meet someone new. There are no rules of how you act like a furry; If you say that you're a furry you are a furry! You don't have to act like an animal, do RP nor do you have to want a fursuit. Just be yourself and enjoy being a furry and meeting other furs!

Ravenshade, there isn't anything you really have to do to be a furry, other than have an interest in anthropomorphic animals. So just talk to us and have fun like you would do with any of your friends. You can go to conventions, you can make art, or you could do nothing and just call yourself a furry. We won't reject you for not doing something that we do.

No need to worry about  having to do something to be a furry ^^ If you want to be a furry, then you are one
You can simply just like anthropomorphic art, you can create your own character (or fursona), you can partake in roleplays, etc. Do things you like to do.

The community, or fandom, is quite a friendly and open one in general. Especially people here on the forums are, at least in my personal experience!

If you would like to have more furry friends, this is the place to be ;D
