Resident Evil: Operation CLEAN-UP

After a while, Ray had left his barrack to undergo training with the anti-BOW weapon system. The gun had to be set up, much like an AT gun, but fired tungsten rods like a rail-gun. The loudspeakers in and around the base crackled to life. "Attention all Agents, Railer test firing will begin in two minutes. Temporary power outage expected."


One of the other officers approached Cyprus, smiling. "Are you attending the Railer test today sir?"

Closing his book hastily, Cyprus dropped it to the side of his bunk and swung his legs over the edge.
"Of course." he grinned. "It's a big gun, why wouldn't I?"
Slipping his boots on as quickly as he could, he promptly stood up and made his way out of his barrack towards the testing area.

Just as Cyprus neared the test-range, Ray walked up to the gun. He turned,  looked around, and waved at Cyprus.

Catching Ray's wave from beside the weapon, Cyprus grinned and waved back. Slipping his hands into his pockets, he stood and waited for the test to commence as the small crowd built up around him.

Akim set down his book. He walked to the radio he had salvaged, and turned it on. He was not quite in the right mind set. His body seemed to be on autopilot as he began sending out SOS signals.

Ray, after receiving the go ahead, began to set up the gun. In a few moments, he was seated behind a large, four-barreled turret. A target popped up at the end of the shooting range, and Ray sighted in. After a few moments, the lights dimmed, and electricity seemed to leap from the four barrels to nearby objects. Then, a loud sound ripped through the air, and the target seemed to vanish.

Akim blacked out and fell to the floor with a dull thud. His health had been deteriorating for a while now. Blackouts, memory loss, confusion, paranoia, and more have become a common occurence.

A BSAA recon patrol, having been near Akim, picked up his SOS, and reported it. "Strider 5-1 here, we've got a civvie SOS, moving to investigate." After a few minutes, the recon crew, in addition to their medical truck, found Akim passed out on the floor, and immediately began loading him in to the truck, Strider-lead reporting the situation. "One civvie, must've been away when the EVAC's came through, we're bringing him to Outpost Frosty now."

Grinning at the destructive potential of the Railer, Cyprus shook his head in amusement as he praised the development team for such a creation. BOW's didn't stand a chance.
Noticing a little bit of hustle near the medical tent, he tapped the arm of a nearby agent who had just come from that direction.
"Hey, what's the activity by the med tent for?" he inquired. "I didn't know we had any teams in the field with the potential to get injured."

The agent shrugged. "Dunno. Maybe recon teams picked up another straggler?"


Ray started to pack the machine up, smiling pleasantly. His ears were ringing, but he was told that it would pass. The sudden burst of electricity heated the air around the device, increasing the air pressure.

Akim regained consciousness. He kept his eyes closed at first, as there wasn't much to be done at his house anyway. The floor felt different then he remebered. He slid his hand down to his waist looking for his gun as he opened his eyes to an unfamiliar scene.

One of the medical personnel watching over Akim noticed his movement. "H-Hey! I think he's coming to!" The medical staff approached, and the senior medical officer spoke  gently. "Easy, friend. You're in the BSAA Outpost Frosty. You were unconscious when we found you."

Akim was panicking in his mind. Was he wanted? What if someone recognized him? However on the outside he was trying his best to seem calm as he sat up and looked around him, trying to locate exits, personell, and his weapons, which he no longer had in his possesion. As he went about this he tried to figure out what he had even done to get into this situation by talking with the medical staff.

"So... how did anyone find me unconscious? I live alone, and nobody visits."

The medical senior put a paw on Akim's shoulder. "You sent out an SOS, and our recon team picked it up."

Humming in thought, Cyprus patted the shoulder of the agent as he moved away towards Ray, who had finished packing up the machine. Standing close to Ray and beside the railing to the test range, he leaned onto it with his elbows and interlaced his fingers.
"One hell of a light show." he commented, chuckling.
