The military (part of it) is it taking over because they no longer support Erdogan and see him as a dictator whilst he wants to make Turkey a theocracy.
His actions went too far according to them so they take it over.

However there is a lot of support for him and that side is fighting back.

I am following a live feed from 3 to 4 press agencies.
Has yet to be confirmed: but the parliamentary building seems to be bombed , by who is not sure.
Police officers are ordered to shoot when needed and are following the order.
Doubtful but plausible: civilians are picking up arms and start fighting.


Looks like this is going for a small civil war I am affraid
