The big slowdowns are when I get close to the two main cities
Tacoma and Federal Way - good thing I can avoid the slow roads when I get to south Seattle, I know my neighborhood.

Calm roads are out by the forest and the mountains

Well, you can't catch a break in Belgium
There are 6.919.768 people between 18 and 64 (the age people drive a car or a vehicle) with around 1 million don't own a car and/or don't have a driverslicense.
The amount motored vehicles (inclused 2-wheeled vehicles) is 7.175.062.
if you do the following calculation 7.175.062 : (+-)5.919.768 = 1.21.
Meaning per Belgian who is qualified to drive you average have 1.21 motorised vehicle per inhabitant.

This might kinda explain our traffic problem

mayor getting rid of roads and parking for bicycle paths and public transit, increasing the price on the public transport and reducing service
