The Make My Day law! We have that in Colorado! They get three warnings to get off your property. If they don't, you can legally shoot out their kneecaps.

Actually not really. There was an elderly man that shot and killed two kids that had been repeatedly breaking into his home to steal things so they could buy drugs and hes sitting in prison for the rest of his life for murder

Here in England I think they may have recently made a tiny adjustment to people breaking into your home, so that you can non-lethally subdue them - but not too sure on it. Most times if someone breaks in you just need to show them your valuables, make them a cup of tea (they of course then steal the mug) then you can send them on their way!


I have looked it up a little bit, some States vary on that rule. A friend of mine gave me an eyebrow-raising moment once when he said he wanted to move to Florida one day. All so he could carry a concealed weapon - and potentially use it due to the stand-your-ground rule

Easter, America is a super power only because other countries are afraid to attack us. I'm not making this up. Think about it - you put troops on the shores. To get to Washington D.C., you have to go through neighborhood after neighborhood of people who all own their own personal arsenal. If one household has no guns, one down the street has enough to share.

Our citizens -are- our military, figuratively -and- literally. Would you attack that level of psycho? O.o

Depends where he was when it happened and if he warned them. Some states don't have the Make My Day law. Colorado does.
