I wanted to post real fast and let you know I'll be back. Just driving to go visit my mom and help her around the house.

For Maki, something that surprised me with book one was that I thought it would take years too. Once I got to about page 40, the floodgates just opened and it was done before I even knew what was happening. It's much easier once the story gets rolling and you've done introductions. Just keep at it! You'll get there!

For Firox, the small part I read was great! They're so cute! I love the gentle opening into their lives; it sets a good relaxed pace that will inevitably escalate as they go about their day and things start to happen. Even if "things" denotes being chased by a bear. If its fun to read, it must be fun to write, too!

Peg, I truly am excited to read more of your back story too. There are so many things that can happen, and I can't wait to see what does. Eventually here I'm going to post a contest, when I get toward the end of book two. I want to put two short stories written before/after/during the story of Earth in the back of the book. I encourage people to use the worlds I create and have fun, so I would love to put some at the back and get your stories published with full accreditation and anything you would like to add. So I hope that sounds like something you all would have fun contributing to!

Currently trying to think up some way of differentiating each tree spirit from one another - eye colour is the easiest thing I can do, but otherwise, they all have white fur - so describing several of them at once would be a call of eye colours. 


Asides from that though, written down an idea that the elder ones may have whiskers like Eastern dragons, sits quite well in my head.

Maybe make them have some subtle markings on the fur, like some small silverish accents? My idea here eye colors will end really fast I think.
