*Vay leaves all mostly ready*
*coleslaw ready*
*meatloaf just to mold into loaf pan, add sauce, bake*
*corn bread, all seasoned and ready, just to mix dry with wet gredients, pour into baking tray, and bake*
*soup just to warm up*

*Linette looks over* "hai ?, how would you like to help out with something simple and fun, all you has to do is enjoy the food while helping to demonstrate it?"

Linette: “the first big word we are going to learn today is “strawberry” but first lets cut it down  since its made of two different words

* Vay passes ? Couple of straws *

“S T R A together make a “ssss... tra” sound “w” at the end is mostly silent, to make it more than one we add an “S” at the end, 'W' still silent, plural sounds like “ssss... traws”

* Vay then passes ? A clear glass with lemonade, and a clear colored straw so it can drink, which Vay had whispered to do so *

Linette: “as you can see, with the straw you can get the tasty drink at the bottom of the cup without having to lift the cup, the tasty drink, this time lemonade, goes up the straw into ?'s maw”

* all watch as ? Drink the lemonade, paying attention to the straw *

“now as all of you drink up the apple juice, look at your brothers and sisters, see how the tasty apple juice goes from cup, into straw, then into maw”

* as all watch and drink up too *

*while that goes one, I asks ?* “what drink you love most with straws?”

* Vay then passes ? A basket full of various berries *


Linette: “the next word to learn is 'berry' a tasty  edible fruit, such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, lingonberries, cranberries”


* Vay shows everyone one of each to each kit, then passes it to ? To nom it if it wants or return to basket *   


“berry just means one, if you want to say more than one, term is plural, we add more than just an 's', we get rid of the 'y' at the end add 'ies', so goes from 'berry' meaning one, to 'berries' meaning more than one”   


*I then ask ?*  “besides strawberries, what are your other favorite berries?”

* noms a few of them happily* I might most of them, blueberries are super good

*? can see that the 6 are actually enjoying the lesson, learning so much, not the boring kind 'talk talk talk and memorize, like in school'* 



* Vay then passes ? The basket with 16 strawberries *


Linette: “what do you get when the words “straw” and “berry” come together? Strawberry if we only want one, or 'strawberries' remember the 'ies' at the end, if we wants more than one”


* Vay passes one to each kit, the remaining 10 strawberries in the basket to ? So it can nom them too *


*to keep up the lesson tradition, I ask ?* “how did the 6 do with the strawberry lesson?”
*? can hear that the 6 do try to reproduce/imitate the sound of each word, even it if does sound a bit funny*

* Vay then gets lots of cheeses ready, cheddar, havarati, parmesan, mozarella, and yep even a small wedge of blue cheese too *


Linette: “the next big word all are going to learn is ?'s most favorite dessert, that is cheesecake – first, cheese itself is super tasty dairy food that can be used in many ways, Vay can you bring the various cheeses? - first in this case, the two 'e's make an 'ii” sound, with an 's' sound to end it, the last 'e' in this case is silent, which means its not said, to have more than one is 'cheeses' that last 'e' now has a sound with the 's' as well”


* Vay passes a small piece of cheese to each kit, so they all get a taste, Vay then does same to ? So it can taste too, then Vay passes the blue cheese, even to ?'s view, they make that 'yucky' view in their small faces as the noses get in the first smell of the blue cheese even bring paws up to cover nose walk backwards slowly bumping into Linette, I'm sure this will make ? giggle *
(blue cheese is my favorite too, I know it has that strong 'rotten'-like odor to some, just imagine it smelling it for the very first time)


“believe it or not, blue cheese is Arval, Firox, and Jyo's favorite kind of cheese, they love it”


*I ask ?* “which is your favorite cheese?”

*giggles as I watch* I like lots of cheese, I guess mozaarella

*Vay wraps up the blue cheese and gives it to Firox to share with Arval and Jyo*

Linette: “the tasty part next, cake, its pronounced similar to 'ke' strong 'eh' sound, and the ending is 'ik', kind of strange at times the 'a' makes an 'eh' sound... all know cake as a tasty dessert” 
*? can tell its a bit confusing at times, when 4 or 5 turn head a bit and flick ears hearing it*


* Vay passes all a bit of cake alone, without any frosting, so all 6 kits can get a taste, then passes a small bit to ? As well *


* I tells ? * “whats your favorite topping on cake?”
*I again ask ?* “do you love the moist cakes or the drier ones more like birthday cake-style?”
