The Snack Den

*all three start sniffing around*
*they just smell the syrup from plate, ? has pouncing chance*

* yawns a little and goes near blanket but leaves a sticky syrup trap for three *

*three fall for it*
"Got ya ?"
*don't know of trap*

*even with protests from ?, I cleans off fur with warm water, dry off with a towel, set in front of Sherrie on the blanket*

eeep * shakes around from cleaning but settles down after wards *

[Firox]

"Looking good, here is a reward"
*I pass a warm strawberry PopTart, I knows crumbs will make mess*

*as everyone had been resting*


*Firox comes back with the two big boxes - one of his Houndoom friends gave Firox a lift back to den, as one of the boxes a bit too heavy*


*back in den, calls the five helpers as I go over to help out too*
*does it the slower longer way, teaching the young from the first step, instead of buying premade dough, shows all how to make them, and then we all help roll, knead, and let it raise*


*next part was the meat, showing us how to trim off some sides so its rounded and well shaped, and even cut one in half so it can show the young ones when its done, by showing them where the meat fat is - all from very start*
*next step by getting prosciutto and bacon ready - giving all taste of why it doesn't need salt or other seasonings, they even make silly faces when too much salt*


*then they go back to the dough, learning how to roll it out for cooking*


*Firox isn't just 'teaching and showing' as in doing all the work, he does it on one, then lets every young one try doing one on their own, if one makes a slight mistake or asks for help - either myself or Firox will try to show them - this way we will get many of them done at once*

* yawns and sleepily sits up, greeting *

*Firox calls over* "look at the great job they are doing"
*all five are doing final touches before Firox bakes them*

* happily watches *

*Firox shows final steps - scoring and egg washing before baking*

*Firox bakes about 12 at a time*

*I get plates ready*
*cooking the sides*

* sniffs happily as I keep watching *

*I do finishing touches, adding spinach salad*

*Firox shows the five how to cut and present meat - when its ready*
"... remember the white line if raw fat?, now that's it cut in half, you can see its gone, left with tasty meat"
*all watch*

*Firox* " now time for tasty part, ? here you go""
*? Gets first plate*

* nods * thanks ya there * happily eats *

[Firox]

*no worries, the meat is soft and tender, that it almost "cuts like butter" as the five make a few more - Firox bakes them... leaves four so both Zorro and Zai can practice on it*


*small patch of mash potato just to keep the meat balanced in middle, while the spinach is on the side, and some meat sauce on top of the meat*


*I prepare a big plate for everyone*
*Firox tells ?* "how are the Beef Wellington?"




*as a surprise - both Flower, the pink furred Flareon, and Fi's bigger brother, Flower's son, Ethan.... both arrive  for a nice surprise visit*
*Flower first comes to greet the five young who are sitting in front of ? eating*
*Flower then gives ? a nice big welcoming hug*


*I greet and good thing for making extra food - I makes a plate for the two of them*
