The Free Masons have progressed into a cult of engineers basically, accepting a lot of people with tech backgrounds. My dad was considered a candidate for acceptance, but he turned them down, citing that they were too strange of a group.

To a point, but they actually, legitimately existed, and still exist. Unlike the Illuminati (as far as we know).


The Washington Monument was originally planned by the Masons to have a ring of smaller obelisks around the main obelisk, to symbolize Washington as a man of exceptional morals and standards among all others. However, it was cut due to a mix of reasons, including the massive amount of manpower and materials required to erect the main obelisk alone.
