Man. I'm debating on whether or not I get a fursuit. No one knows that I'm into the fandom, let alone follow my sona like a religion. I'm not sure how my friends would react, or let alone my family. I don't know whether to enjoy it, or push myself away from the fandom. I didn't even know about it until someone told me. And they basically bashed the fandom right then and there, not knowing that I would be a part of it.

Your right it would be extremely hard to just leave the fandom :?
Here is an example that i see is similar: its like trying to get rid of your orientation, u can deny it but its apart of you that sooner or later u will except and be proud of. ^_^

My parents don't have very much land though, and they like to think they own a farm. Our back yard is only so big. I'm not entirely sure they know what they're doing.

You only need about a 3 x 3 metre enclosed area to keep chickens, they don't take up much room at all :P
