yea, but actually 5.56 compared to a .223 same size and everything EXCEPT a 5.56 is hotter round bc its considered "military" ammunition, here in cali we can't buy 5.56, but were allowed to buy .223 bc there not as packed as a 5.56 and don't get as hot
