But the problem is how does spinning in space, with no standard for rest in space, equal artificial gravity? The section of spacecraft spins, and then what? people expect (the more scientific than mainstream that is) artificial gravity. No real reason it should if its spinning, because centrifugal force uses gravity in the first place. People point out if you had a bucket of water and swung it round fast, the water will stay in the bucket. Yes that happens because of centrifugal forces, but you have the entire thing hemmed in and resistance (gravity) to the centrifugal force to give it meaning. Give me some time and I'll draw a diagram.
