Yes,sadly ezio auditoire da firenze brings back the finger tradition, but with a scar on the finger x3

Altair was epic, although ezio or desmond would win in a fight versus him x3

I mean, i have a poor grasp on reality already so it's worked on me, but just wondering if it has for others .-.

@lita: ezio and altair are assassins, to use teh assassin blade u need to chop off your ring finger, but altair stops this so u dont need to anymore x3

I thought it was so that you could use the hidden blade, but then in 2 it was modified so you didnt have too  :?

Well yes , but the only reason that the origanal design was like that was so that assassins were the only ones who could use it.
Basically, the blade was designed so people had to cut off their ring finger, not the other way around.
