I may get a scholarship because I'm bilingual and not American.




I live in a higher middle class family but my parents and especially my stepmom make me earn what I want, which I don't mind, plus I've never really shown that my family is well-off, since I'm not really into name brands apart from sports and outdoor wear.


My parents will buy me jackets, boots, and gear from Jack Wolfskin but they have a functional purpose, I hike, camp, and trek a lot in the mountains and state parks for a week or so in the summer and winter breaks. I need to stay warm in the snow and my clothing needs to be able to stand harsh elements and keep me comfortable, for more than 168 hours.
