Personally, I can't focus long enough to do several long posts over an IM based anything... Which is unforunate seeing how I had a good IM RP with a friend of mine for a while.

I do as well but I also don't have time to sit for hours at a time and do it anymore. Plus, all of my old RP friends have completely dropped off the map. The reason Xavier is a ship Captain is an old RP I had with all of them together, it was quite fun

I prefer these because everyone wants to do group chats and I'm a working person who needs to sleep and can have his schedule flipped completely

I kinda do both methods for my RPs. Forums because you can find a lot more intellectual people who prefer to write longer descriptions of thier actions. And IM  because sometimes i just get that itch to RP a lot.

Precisely why I am here as well, Cyril. As for sneaky thieves on boats, it is very handy. The old traveling crew included a battlemage, an assassin, a gun-mage, a heavy weapon fighter, a mechanic, an empath, and a samurai.

I've had IM groups/partners that can out-write me, but it's been years ago.
Should we bother looking for more people? I think we've kinda tapped out the player base at the moment.

Well we have five people so we should be pretty good in my opinion. If we need more try in about a month. It should have, for the most part, refreshed by then so we will get plenty of interesting characters by then.
