Basically same with me. Only I decided I'm a furry the same evening I joined here

Well, I've always liked furry art for years.  But never really knew much about anything outside it.  So I just thought maybe I should explore that aspect of my life.

Yea, I randomly bumped onto a video about furries, before I obviously liked the art but didn't think there's a fandom about it.

I can see that.  I just thought it was some weird quirk of mine.  But I have been trying to be more honest with myself and who I am rather than just being cynical.

Definitely better to just go with who you are.

[Albie]

I come from a place that they teach you that if you aren't conforming that you are evil and there is something wrong with you mentally.  So it took me way too long to come out of my shell.  But now that I am becoming more and more like me, I feel more liberated.

I get that. I know a lot of people from a similar background. I was fortunate enough with my parents though. They're very accepting.
(Still haven't told them a couple of things though. There will be time for that )

I am lucky in the fact that I ain't in a place where people are violent or anything.  I can never say that I have been in a hate crime for being gay or anything.  Everyone here is too worried about what their neighbors think, so many people just ignore me or look the other way when I came out of the closet.  But it gets lonely.  lol I'll stop whining.

lol Darn.  I was going to sucker you into going to get me a glass of water and everything.

if I were anywhere in the US I'd do it. But it's a bit far from here.

haha Well it is good to have friends all over the globe.

Yeah. When you have the money to go traveling I'm sure it's great.

lol That is my secret plan.  Step 1: Make friends from around the world.  Step 2: Get out of debt.  Step 3: Save money and crash on said friends couches.
