Ray sighed. "Well, if it is any consolation, I would miss you. It's unfortunate when someone dies prematurely."

"Thank you." Mag looked at the town which was growing closer and closer with each step. "What's it like there recently?"

[Rayleonarde]

Ray shrugged. "It seems horses have been replaced with evil metal monsters."

[Long gone otter]

Mag chuckled. "You sound like my mother when she first came here." She raised an eyebrow at an upcoming sign, which read:

'WELCOME TO ACENSION'

However, some vandals had graffitied 'HELL' over Acension.

Ray sighed. "I suppose the local guards aren't very good at their job."

Mag shook her head. "You have no idea..." She gazed at her hands. "Do you have a tissue?"

[Rayleonarde]

Ray blinked, and after a few moments, pulled out a kerchief. "Here."

Mag took it. "Thank you..." She wiped the blood off of her hands, trying her best to get it out from under her nails.

Ray smiled. "It's what I do, miss."

[Long gone otter]

Mag chuckled. "So? Does that mean it doesn't require a thank you? No."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray smiled. "W-We're almost to the...uh..." He started looking around for Acon's apartment.

[Aconitum]

Acon was still at her window, screaming Ray's name.

Ray's ear twiched, and he he started off towards Acon's voice.

Mag followed Ray cautiously, remembering that the streets of Acension weren't always kind.

Ray looked at Mag, and smiled. "Worry not, miss. We aren't defenseless."
