Cynthia began to get worried. "D-dad? Are you okay?"
There was a moment of silence before Frank picked up again. "Sorry, I'm looking for Satan to tell her the good news." He sounded ecstatic.
Cynthia smiled. "Call me back when you find her. Okay?"
Frank: "yeah sure. I love you." He hung up.
Cynthia turned to Ryan. "He sounded happy."

He shrugged, popped a 'lucky strike' cigarette into his mouth, and said "well, my team died. I'm the new CO. You were attached to my unit, if I'm correct. They wanted us to come here to meet or something." He takes a lighter out of his pocket, and lights the cigarette.

After a while of eating and exchanging friendly conversation, Herman called Acon about a job. She sighed and turned to Mag. "Hey, I have to go. I'll call you later tonight." She kissed Mag and left, slinging her coat on as she walked down the street.

Mag sighed and took the ring out from under Acon's plate. 'Failed attempt number nine' she thought as she pocketed the ring and tidied up.

Lucy cleaned the dishes whistling as she did so.
