Jayce spoke up. These women will kill us, Ray.  We're two halves of the same whole.  If they remove me from you, we'll die. Rather quickly in fact...not through paralysis, but through several intense aneurysms. It doesn't work like it used to...the powers that be said it was a 'safety-net'...more like self-destruct. Ray sighed, and spoke. "Excuse me? Jayce said that if we're separated, we'll die."

Ray scrabbled out his cell phone number, and handed it to Lucy. "Here, I'll call you when you can, okay?" He patted her cheek. "I promise you and he will talk again." Ray motioned for Acon to follow, and walked towards the exit.
