Orion patted Lotty's paw, as she almost fell asleep. "Hey hey, you might want to find Data.  Talk to him a little, he'll feel better." He was confused.  All of these adults had to be at least twenty or so. Orion felt both astonished, and embarrassed. They came to him for pointers, for whatever they needed to talk about, but he was only eighteen for god's sake!  Sure, he was smart, but that didn't make him a leader.  Orion took the mantle, because he knew they wouldn't survive without a leader.  He'd looked in the mirror the other day, and saw he had locks of grey hair on his head. He'd assumed it was from stress, but that was expected.
