Moves do have a chance to miss or otherwise fail tho, so it's never guaranteed you'll hit someone unless it's one of those moves that are designed to always hit.

We're in a serious meme war here, but neither side has managed to land a hit yet so far. Sparky has a lowered defense, so I'm curious to see how that'll affect the player's strategies, but both parties still have a chance to win.

That's the Indigo league.
Which I've got a newfound appreciation for, because Indigo dye vats are a real pain in the butt to prepare and get right.

Or actually, I kinda miss the times when the in-game rivals were a mean.


The rival in the latest game is pretty much a pureblood idiot.
"Oh, you picked the Water-type starter? IMMA PICK FIRE!!!"

"HURRDEDURR WHY CAN I NEVER DEFEAT YOU?! D:"

That's even more annoying than Gary.
At least he tried.
And by defeating him even with his cheap and low tactics, you prove yourself to REALLY be the stronger and better trainer.
It FEELS like an achievement to beat him.


This just feel like a pointless speed bump and that's kinda boring.
