Ever played/heard of Skyrim?
Morrowind is made by the same people and is pretty similar to that.
Only that it came out in 2003 iirc.
So it doesn't have all these fancy things like quick travel or quest markers.
It doesn't even have a proper compass.
It -does- however have a pretty big world, so now that I haven't played it for a while I don't remember the way to all the places anymore.
I took up residence in a tiny abandoned hut somewhere in a swamp close to some small village, but I can't remember which swamp or what village >->'

Yeah, even tho it doesn't have the same "luxuries" as the later Elder Scrolls-games, it's still a really great game xD
When I'm -not- lost and/or hopelessly confused, I'm really enjoying every minute of it =^-^=

thats the fun in games like skyrim and fallout, gettign lost is fun

Not when you're supposed to go somewhere and realize you've been running in the completely opposite direction of where you were supposed to go xP

I've found my house again now :D It's all coming back to me now.
The only confusing part is that I thought I had more money..
I remember selling tons of expensive armor but I'm still pretty much broke... >_>'

Back in those days, it was even harder being an adventurer like me.
Because not only did you have to worry about arrows in the knee.
There's also throwing stars, throwing knives and darts to worry about >->'

still sounds like a fun experience, it sounds harder, and everyone likes a challenge... i would get lost too if i didn know where i was

Yeah, that's actually part of the reason why I like it so much. In some ways it's kinda like Hard-mode Skyrim with an extra layer of frustration on top. Not that there's anything wrong with the newer games. I like them all for different reasons.

im kinda a bad gamer then... i just keep moving with the times... there are some games that i go back to... manhunt for ps2... and such... but its hard to find a game these days that makes mne wanna come back to it again...  you can only play a game for so llong before your bored of it... except a game with so much gameplay value as fallout or skyrim... im determined to get fallout 4 platinum...
