For me it's borderline. I love everything about the fandom. I have no problem devoting all of my free time to it. However, I do have a life outside this, it's a boring life, but a life nonetheless.

I wear a tail to school, I put a ton of effort into trying to go to AFC this year, and being furry is a topic of conversation with my friends.

That doesn't make you trash. It just means that you like being a furry, it makes you happy. Just like it makes me happy. There are people who make being a furry their legitimate job. Fursuit makers, art commissioners, and others. I actually wouldn't mind those jobs, it'd mean that I would get paid doing what I love.

I think the whole term furry trash is wierd. What's wrong with having a passion? What's wrong with being a furry?

I think it's more of a joke.
Most of the time I've seen it used, it's been used by people referring to -themselves- as furry trash rather than it being an insult aimed at someone else. (Like, "Ehrmagerd, I just paid $9001 for a fursuit by a maker I really admire. I could've gotten a car or something for that money. Once "Furry trash" is added to the dictionary, there should be a picture of me put next to it as the definition", or something similar.)


 Tho it wouldn't surprise me if it was being used as an insult as well.
