I do recall that episode as well and I seriously wonder if that was staged, I know few furries who look like that. And essentially the guy who died wasn't a furry, but some drunkard who wandered off from his transport and got mauled by a bear. *Hugs the episode*

The reason we're portrayed as freaks and pervs is because it sells. No one wants to buy a magazine with the headline "Furries are awesome!". No, they want to post,"Furries are sick perverts!". Our stereotyped pain is their monetary gain.
