Because the radical patriotism that nationalism promotes is the blind idea that your country is good and can do no wrong, thus any attempt to dramatically change it would be an utter insult. If people from a completely different culture enters the country, a nationalist will think that the person wishes the country's systems to change. (Or at least that what i think nationalism entails, though don't attack me for thinking so.)

First and for all, let's get this straight: I hate the EU.
So, In my personal opinion I think it is a good thing since the EU is not a union but a supernation which is dictated by the happy few.
Now let's be a bit more objective: I suspect that it will set a motion of Anti-EU parties across Europe.

I disagree with the idea of not letting people and media express certain views and i don't think anything is deeply misogynist or has set out to be misogynist to begin with. So yes, they're both going too far.

No, because the country remembering said soldiers has probably killed double the amount of people on the opposite side.

I think it should be less remembering the solders of your country that have died and more remembering ALL the people who have died in war.
