This is difficult for me since, argghh, both have their appropriate time and place within music. But, since high bass is so common and often very predictable I'd say treble. But at the same time there's few things as rewarding as a slammed note in the lower register. No I cannot choose.  :( I  like all aspects of music.

Do they deserve the amount of money they get? Yes, they entertain people and so do deserve a lot of money.
Do they deserve to get more money than scientists/Doctors? Nope, Doctors and such help people in ways far beyond entertaining.
