IMPORTANT :: The Future of the Furry Forums

As many of you are aware the forums are facing what many could deem as an undetermined future.

For the last 4 years that I have been operating the forums completely I have been footing the costs of the forums and associated services from my own pocket, this equals to over $12,000 in total, that even with the generous donations has never been matched.

As a number of you will be aware for the last 4 years I have been a student and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 2010 and then went on to study teaching. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete this course due to some issues with my college. Earlier this year I got married and will be within the next couple of months emigrating from the United Kingdom to the United States.

The loss of income - no longer a student, and not current employed as well as the impending move meant that for the foreseeable future I'd be unable to afford to continue to foot the bills here.

I have been through many options from downsizing to seeking outside funding but none of these have proved fruitful.

However, this does not mean what you are now all thinking.

As previously mentioned I was unable to complete my year of study due to my college. This has led to a long and arduous appeal claim against my college in relation to the fact they broke their regulations. I was fortunate enough to be offered a small amount of compensation. Although nowhere near what I feel it was worth it is enough to cover the server costs for a year.

After working with my server administrators a deal was made to provide a discounted rate for the year.

This secures the server for the next year of service. Please note however, that donations are still very much appreciated as I have spent my own compensatory money on securing the service for you. All donator perks will be retained and further perks will be added over time.

Many thanks to all the donators last month and in the future for helping to support the service as much as you can.

Expect some big updates to be announced in the next month now that the forums are here to stay.

And please, please, please continue to donate without your help, I cannot guarantee the future beyond 2012.

$12,000.00???  whoa!          I'm not sure of the proper way to ask this without sounding rude so I will just say it out right in hopes that it is not displayed elsewhere less I look even more the fool lol,  but what amount roughly (or exactly) do you need.   I am still very new to this forum and have only viewed possiblye 3 % of it, but love it here and the people are awesome and very friendly and welcoming.   This has made me greatly consider helping with your funds if/when I can and I would love to learn more so that I can help out in whatever ways that I can.   I have seen little so far but love what I have viewed as of yet and would love to help out if I can.

The donation amount shown monthly on our donation meter is what is required to cover costs in general. It varies at times but gives an idea at least.

Time to get a prepaid credit card and donate some to TFF.  i want to donate a ton but i don't seem to have the money,  yet,  as in when i do get a prepaid card,  ill send some to TFF

well since i can HONESTLY say that about %90 of my commission customers comes from TFF, i think i can afford to give a bit more than my monthly $5 to this site

its done so much for me, and i wanna repay it.

Checked the donation page,  paypal only? Crap, prepaid cards can't go to paypal,  prepaid cards can't go to tff....

Any way to donate?  Can't use bank for paypal.....

At this point we only accept donations through PayPal.

We are investigating other ways but so far have not found many.
